1995 Coleman Fleetwood Utah Pop Up Camper REMODEL!
This was so helpful!! Thank you for this video! (especially considering we have the same 1995 model!) Question on your spare tire mount - ours didn't come with one and I'm not certain where it should be located - it looks like yours is located behind the axle, is that right? Any chance you could send me a picture of where the bracket mounts to? That would be so helpful! 😊
Great job putting out good content, keep up the good work! 🙂
Our first outing last fall we had 40 mph winds one night. That was a real adventure. My 7 year old granddaughter slept through the whole thing. Every trip is different. That’s what makes it special. Depending on where and when you camp the temperature can vary dramatically. Pop up camping is a little different. You don’t completely fit in with the tent campers or the RVers. Any type of camping requires some physical activity so if you are the type to just arrive at a vacation destination and throw down your luggage then camping isn’t for you.
Great video, good job. Ken's Market?? Phinney?
@@tonyroumonada yep! Ken’s Market baby!
What does the fridge run off ? I have a 90s colman Fleetwood but can't figure out if its electric or propane
The fridge runs when I’m plugged into power. My friend who has a Coleman as well has a fridge run by propane. So I’ve seen both with the Coleman.
Thanks for this list, we have a tt but I want a pop up, and there’s not a lot of people to follow. I love watching camping videos too.
Thanks for the feedback!
I have had really good experiences with the medication at the dollar tree specifically. The nasal spray is better than the more expensive stuff for decongestion.
Nice!
Great video! Although I can’t believe you didn’t mention foil pans! We love those cheap foil pans for cooking over the fire, using as a meat tray, etc.
Just finding this video- thanks! We really appreciate the love! Keep making more content, there’s not enough of us pop up enthusiasts out there. 😎 Another channel we liked early on was Pop Up Life (I think?)
Of course! Nice thanks for sharing!
This was the best video ever. Thank you so much. I didn't know the 1st thing about a pop up camper. Now I am certain that I could set one up. The only thing if you didn't say it in the video is about how long does it take to set up start to finish. It seemed like maybe 30 min to an hour. Depends on experienced the person is maybe. Thanks so much.
Great to hear! It takes about 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on if you have extra help.
Nice shirt
What about large wild animals? Thats my fear with tents and pop ups.
I guess that’s a possibility but I haven’t personally had any issues. People then have to think about other ways to defend themselves in those scenarios.
@Popupinrealife87 thank you for your response. Pop up campers are very popular so I'm not too worried. But I do have a fear. Lol
@@marikiemarie7622 yes there is a risk. But all depends on where you camp.
My pop up is a different model ..I wanted to see how the sideouts work ..mine are almost impossible .so it's hoped that I can put some sylosone on the wheels making it easier to open ..thanks .
I do have to give them a couple good pulls. And one of the slide outs is in need of some repair because a screw came off when I was pulling.
Okay ✅ 😊
What is the little white handle looking to Bar next to your sink
That is a soap dispenser but I don’t use it.
We tent camped for 18 years with kids. The pop up is an easy step up from tent camping. As someone else mentioned, getting up off the ground gets harder with age. 😉 We bought a new pop up, but it was 1/2 price because it was the previous year's model. We can pull it with our 12+ year old Outback. The bunks are smaller than a full-size bed, but we made a bed extension and now have a bed that's larger than a queen. We've been figuring out how to make our own repairs. It has AC and heat, so we took it to southern IN last week for the eclipse. We've had it out in mid-October in IL. We've been through 100+ temps in MO and 60 mph winds in heavy thunderstorms. I don't necessarily recommend those experiences, but the pop up held through all of it. 😎
That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing!!!
Looks great. Where in the Midwest do u camp at? I'm from the Midwest and stay at state parks in Minnesota and Iowa. I plan on posting more videos next week
I am actually located in the Pacific Northwest so I stay in this area. Happy Camping!
Hello, i love the storage and dinette area. Great in depth explanation. How much does this make and model run for?
About $2,000 - $3,000
Hello, i love the storage and dinette area. Great in depth explanation. How much does this make and model run for?
We purchased ours for $1700. I think they are between $2,000-$3,000 usually.

Just tuned in. Love it. I’m 62 and been camping my whole life. Dad worked for the Boy Scouts for a living. Started out as camp director back in the 60’s, so I started out camping in the play pen. LoL 😅. Anyhoot, got a little old for the tent and sleeping on the ground, so me and my girlfriend bought a 92 Coleman Newport popup and just added a couple hundred watts of solar power for some off grid camping. Hoping to do an out west adventure from the Philadelphia area base camp. Neither of us have been out west and figured what a way to do this adventure. We just did our first dry run down At Cunningham Falls State park MD and had a blast. Just started watching your videos and some of the great outdoor folks you mentioned. I’ll start to add some things as I follow.
Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing!!!
Well....guess I better RUN to the 99c store ASAP since they are all closing down. Fortunately, I already have most of what I need for my pop-up. FYI-never shop at Target though.
Lucky #560. Nice vids!
Thanks so much! 🙏

So true. Great video!
Thanks!

Hey man. Love your channel. I am a camping channel too but I took a hiatus once I got a pop up camper. Coleman Westlake 2002. I’ve been renovating it for over a year now before I post any videos. I made a LOT of mistakes but learned a lot. Keep up the good work.
That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing. I’ve made the mistakes too. Press on and happy camping!
Love Its Poppin and he was great for me being a first timer.

Thanks for the tips! Just picked up a 2013 Viking 1906. We are getting ready to go at the end of this month on our first trip with it. Or camper has the ability to use the propane to keep the fridge on. Although mine only has enough room for one 5 gallon tank.
Awesome! Happy Camping!

All u have is a tent on a trailer ,if it’s not solid side ?
If ur going to buy a. Pop up camper buy a aliner they are solid side and easy to put up ❤

I have a pop up, as well as other reasons, it does not hurt my fuel mileage on average. In a couple of years we are taking it from Vermont to Louisiana.
Thank You, Your Video was very helpful for us.♥We just purchased a 1993 Coleman Pioneer Newport for 900 dollars.
You bet! Good to hear. That’s awesome. Great price & Happy Pop Up Camping!

Absolutely stunning, what a great experience you had on this hike. I enjoy those type of walks, for the peace that they bring to my Soul. Thank you for sharing.
You bet! Glad you enjoyed it.
Another great video! Looking forward to more camping videos!
Great vid, Thanks for taking the time to explain your thought process of a major purchase, such as a camper. I would add that if said camper does not have a title, I would not consider purchasing that unit. Also that understanding repairs on a Popup are an ongoing process, even if it is new. Great idea, of getting both yourself & spouse involved in the process of researching, and purchasing a camper. We have been married 47 years, if she is not happy, well I know I am not going to be happy either. lol We see all of our camping excursions as a learning experience. Have fun with your PUP, enjoy making those memories that will last a lifetime. Both good, and bad, are still sweet memories. Enjoy the camp. See you on the trail.
Thanks Steven!!!
I've never heard that called a "turner." I've always called it a spatula.
That’s probably a better term. I was reading off of the dollar store label.
Good vid. We have camped in Popup 's for years, 23 years to be exact. We have everything in totes, with each tote labeled. All our items are for ca
To finish original post, Please forgive. All items are for camping only. As you stated, do not like taking things from the house. In our shop where is the location of our PUP, I have a shelving rack for totes that are removed to clean laundry, add items we used, or things we wish to add for next time out. We do camp a lot, being in Central Texas, affords us many days of camping. Plus we are retired. Keep up the vids . Enjoy the camp. See you on the trail.
Thanks for the feedback! Yes having stuff just for the pop up is best.
When capturing video always hold the camera horizontal. Every TV screen, monitor screen, computer screen, movie theater screen, are orientated horizontally. Videos where the camera is vertical the left one-third, and right one-third of the screen is cut off, the video is tall and narrow thus appears as a stick video, tall and narrow. It is similar to looking through a tight keyhole or wearing horse blinders. You would not enjoy watching your TV nor going to a movie theater where you were required to watch the movie with the left one-third and right one-third cut off. Turn off the background music. It is beyond me why UA-cam content creators think playing background music over their voice is somehow enhancing their videos, it is not, it is distracting. We came to hear you, not to fight background music which quickly becomes extremely annoying and intrusive. Many folks have hearing difficulties, thus while concentrating on your voice they must also concentrate on tuning out the music; frustrating. Your background music ruins an otherwise exceptionally good presentation.
Great feedback! That was one of my earlier videos so have made the adjustments since then.
Hey Ric, I have made adjustments to horizontal videos. That was one of my first videos. You have already given me feedback on the volume. I have made changes for future videos but won’t be going back to make edits.
Turn off the background music! Attempted to listen to what you said all the way up to the one-minute mark, it then stops, again begins at the two-minute mark. Enough is enough, I turned off your video.
Thanks for the feedback! In my newer videos I have background music at the beginning and the end.
Great to see old pop up campers. I have a 97 Utah.
Yes they are classy!
I’ve noticed prices have dropped on CL the last few weeks.
I’ve noticed the same thing

What a nice camper.
Great video. I just bought a 1997 Coleman Cheyenne. I am looking forward to a few camping trips for the last few weeks of August and will be looking to do some fall time camping as well.
That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing!!!
It looks like you are using your battery box on the tongue for storage. (Maybe I am confused.) Does the four prong hookup on your car run the necessary driving lights on the back of the camper without going through a “car”battery on the camper tongue or is yours stored somewhere else? I know this sounds like a crazy question but if I can go to a campsite with electric and or just use ice and little batteries to run a fan, that would make life even simpler. As you can tell, I have no clue about electric.
Great question. The 4 prong hook up when the car is running powers the taillights and blinkers on the pop up when traveling without using the battery. The battery is mainly used for lights in the pop up and a fan if you have a propane heater in your pop up which I don’t. Outlets cannot be powered by your battery. That’s why I got ride of my battery because there wasn’t much use for it and now just use the box for storage.
@@Popupinrealife87 Thank you for explaining that. It opens up some new possibilities for me and also eliminates the need to worry about that type of battery. Looking at getting a setup like a Jackery (or similar) for maybe running a fan and powering a cell phone.
@@LoveMtDulcimerMusic I think the jacket is a good option!
Just bought one yesterday for 1,800 lol. I pick it up tomorrow. No major problems with it at all! Just some cleaning and refreshing and I think it will be awesome!!
