Planning to travel with a lot of luggage...would you advise this Metropolitan service or regiojet?
Hi and thank you for your question! It depends on what you mean by "lots of luggage" and how many passengers there are in your group, but you'll probably have more room for luggage in the Metropolitan than in Regiojet's train with compartment cars. Both are good travel options, though! I must stress that I didn't travel with Regiojet on this particular route. I wish you a very enjoyable trip! Cheers!

what is the difference between 1st class and business class?
@j.a9541 Hi and thank you for your comment. 🙂 On this particular train, there isn't Business Class. The different classes of accommodation are 1st and 2nd. The differences shown in the video are due to the 1st Class cars being from different operators. The one with black seats is a Czech first-class car. The one with bordeaux seats and with semi-compartments is Slovak. Now, in more general terms, it depends on the terminology used by different rail operators. Let's take as an example the Austrian ÖBB. On their railjet service, 2nd Class is called Economy, 1st Class is called 1st Class, and Business Class is above 1st Class, with better seats, amenities, and service, as shown in the railjet video from Budapest to Vienna. Now, if we take Trenitalia as a different example, 2nd Class is called Standard Class, 1st Class is called Business, with the Executive being above Business, as shown in the ETR500 video published yesterday. Overall it depends on each individual operator's commercial terminology. For some, Business is just a different name for 1st Class. For others is a distinct Class of service above 1st Class. I hope that this explanation helped. Cheers!

A very nice presentation of the Austrian train's journey. The price for a ride in this class of train is indeed very favorable.
Hey there! 🙂 Thanks so much for your comment! In the coming months, I’ll be running trips on the same route with both Regiojet and MAV. We'll have the chance to compare all three options - it’s going to be a great way to find what works best for each one's needs! And yes, you’re absolutely right about the price! It was a fantastic deal, especially since I bought the ticket not too long before the trip. Cheers!
well, you deserved better results, imagine paying 300euro for only over 1k views is way sad. Hope you don’t give up

So, the train line between Lisbon to Madrid is still exist? I'm glad because some says it's not possible anymore. This fact is important for me to write a novel. Thank you.
Hi, and thank you for your comment! 🙂 Yes, it is still possible to travel between Lisbon and Madrid and vice-versa, as shown in the two videos I created about that route. Unfortunately, since March 2020, the direct night train has not been operating, so the only option now is this longer, more complicated journey during the day. Feel free to ask for any further details which may be of interest to your writings! Good luck with your novel! Cheers!
@worldwide.p Thanks for the update. One question : is there any train from Badajoz to Cordoba?
@@RoseRoshid My pleasure! No, there aren't any direct trains from Badajoz to Cordoba. There are two ways to do that trip. One from Badajoz to Madrid as shown in the video and then to Cordoba in a high-speed train and the other in a Regional Express, 2nd Class only but quite comfortable, from Badajoz to Puertollano and then Puertollano to Cordoba in an AVE high-speed train. There will be a video depicting the Regional Express I mentioned above, although in the opposite direction, sometime in February. Cheers!

@danielpfeiffer6698 And it was great, indeed. This was a trip with all the ingredients to make me fume out of my ears. But, in the end, it was great. Why? Because the crew was perfect and they just knew how to deal with everything, taking it all in stride. Traveling is one of the best things in the world. Where do train crew change over point's.
@cteasdale1979 Hi and thank you for your comment. 🙂 Conductors changed at Breclav (a Slovak lady entered here) and Sturovo (a Hungarian conductor from here). However, if I'm remembering correctly, between Breclav and Kuty, the Czech conductor was also on board. The drivers I didn't notice them change so I don't know where they did. It's a really short journey, considering there's no shortage of options for drinks or food at both end stations, I think the catering offer in this train is acceptable. But not for the longer trips of course.
Hi and thank you for commenting! 🙂 From where I see it, the welcome drink or the bottle of water that many companies also offer in 1st Class is not about the drink or the water but about being nice and making the customers feel valued. It's mostly that. Cheers! 🙂

where is this station?
Good question. I believe that it's Carregado but I'm not 100% sure.
@ Ok thanks
Very accurate, cancellations and apathy abound.
Hi! Thank you for your comment. Cancelations? Well, I'm sad to hear that. My train, fortunately, was severely late but running. Cheers!
13:09 TCS is operating the train only until bad Schandau, after that it is CD, the Czech national company that operates it on behalf of European sleeper
With CD drivers in the Lineas locomotive? That's quite curious. Anyway, my understanding was that TCS took the train all the way to Prague.
@ yep! Some CD staff is now trained on the 186 just for European sleeper, as the EC uses vectrons. You can see this in the ceske drahy app (muj vlak) that it is operated by Ceske drahy on their commercial risk, and the TM and driver in the train was wearing a CD uniform. Legally a train driver can run in a maximum of 3 countries continuously, hence the need to switch
@@chielmeiberg That's a change since when I did my research on the subject. I find it interesting that CD drivers operate the TCS locomotive (well, Lineas but operated by TCS). As for the drivers, they had to change somewhere between Brussels and Bad Schandau. That's way too many hours and, particularly, night hours.

Excelente short
