Having watched the adventures of Nerb1, RidingwithTom, Shadower75, and their friends, I was inspired to get back into motorbikes in 2016. And it had been a few years time since I had parted with my CBF1000f.
A few great friends provided encouragement and a few weekends in the bush on a mates Husky 570 certainly got the blood pumping. For me, it is very much less about the riding but more about the journey and the destination. I notice that, that tends to be a common theme amongst most other Adventure Riders on UA-cam. You won't get product reviews, just me moaning about what didn't work..This channel is basically the videos from my adventures. Things I have learnt along the way and just a bit of fun really. If anything, I will be able to relive these later (when I am old...er).

Lyndhurst to Arkaroola

We make it as far north as Lyndhurst. The Stzelecki, Oodnadatta and Birdsville tracks are all closed due to rain. The Simpson itself is also closed. We decide to head back south to Copley then inland through Aboriginal hunting grounds near Yankaninna before taking the Dry Weather only track SE to Arkaroola.
Bunyeroo and Brachina Gorge SA - Part 2

In Part 2 we traverse through Bunyeroo and Brachina Gorges in the Flinders Ranges. We are heading for the Simpson Desert but weather conditions further North will close roads and the Simpson itself. As with any adventure, we roll with several changes to our planned routes as we head North.

Post Covid 3 day ride through the Victorian High Country. Camped near the Wonnangatta station by the creek. Although there was much conversation around the campfire about him and his exploits, the Buttonman was nowhere to be found.

I have posted this for nostalgic reasons. Was my first real around Australia Adventure with a mate for a year. An epic outback 4X4 adventure filmed in 1995. Footage was reclaimed from a vintage Canon Canovision E40 8mm Camera film, and converted to digital. The film has deteriorated significantly - apologies. It was great tech in its day! After 2 years of planning, acquiring gear and bike building, my Simpson Desert adventure has had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak in Australia.
