a channel called "How To DnB" talks about looking at the "squiggliness" of a wavetable instead of it's harmonic and sonic content. Not convinced.
@@kismetsno.musicuk6295 simple reasoning for that: many viewers are beginners and explaining wavetables is a pretty advanced concept, whereas almost everyone understands what squigly means

@@highselfesteem yes, absolutely perfect for beginners, but also awesome for more advanced users, it just serves as a different tool. Beginners would get most use out of the fact that its a ready to play synth with great contemporary dnb sounds. More advanced producers would get value out of the being able to write faster or think less. Plus, You don’t always have to go the difficult route and make everything yourself. Starting with a limited set of options and then getting creative is a fantastic tool voor creative writing even if u start with a rompler. You can resample, layer, edit as much as you want still but you’ll defi itely start out with a solid bass. Many, and I mean MANY top hits in both pop music and DNB alike started with a rompler or a sampler that the artist then repurposed.
Hey bro, I designed it as a tool so I could write music and not think about sound design as I already did it. I also thought why would I add more effects when my daw has way better effects than any that you can implement into a synth / rompler. Basically you can re process the shit out it man. I hope that makes sense on why I designed it like it is.

@@joni.sirvio8867 well I think there are many names, but 4x4 is a pretty industry standard term for when a kick hits on every quarter note, which this is. Also many artists have chosen to simply call it 4x4. I do agree with you you can classify this is many things though, you could go as far as to call this acid gabber or something even haha
