FIFI was acquired by the CAF in the early 1970s when a group of CAF members found her at the U.S. Navy Proving Ground at China Lake, California where she was being used as a missile target. The airplane was rescued and restored and flew for over thirty years until 2006 when the chief pilot made the decision to ground her pending a complete power plant re-fit. What followed was an extensive four...

Beautiful B-25 aircraft
Beautiful aircraft
North American's classic medium bomber.
AH yes the sweet sound of Prancing Horses!
"Pilot to copilot, MAN we are bored!!"
What’s the latest on Doc?
Rode in the Bombardier seat, excellent ride.
how come this b29 didnt burn up when started?
At an airport the usually use an external APU so they don't have to rush and hang a fuel tank above the internal one.
The FE seems to be receiving training and with no simulators in existence, this is his only exposure to actually performing the tasks. He has a lot of work to do get that aircraft correctly and safely ready for taxi-out and flight. Then his work really ramps up... He is the human EICAS, or ECAM in that B-29.
i have question in the olden days how did they take off if they were in a hurry?
the aircraft were maintained by ground crew, so they was always ready to fly

I think it's a wright cyclone
Motor radial con turbocompresor
The air-cooled Wright R-4090 had a 6.125 in (155.6 mm) bore and 6.3125 in (160.3 mm) stroke. Total displacement was 4,092 cu in (67.05 L) and the engine’s compression ratio was 6.85 to 1. The Cyclone 22 had a two-speed, single-stage supercharger and gave 3,000 hp (2,237 kW) at 2,800 rpm for takeoff. For continuous output, the engine produced 2,400 hp (1,790 kW) at 2,600 rpm. However, increased performance was expected with further engine development. The R-4090 had a diameter of 58 in (1.47 m), was 91 in long (2.31 m), and weighed 3,230 lb (1,465 kg).
I saw Fifi take off once. I highly recommend seeing this in person. The power you feel from those four big radial engines is surreal.
You could cut the engine start ups and just get to the take off.
Got a ride on this baby during a media day event and we flew over Niagara Falls! It was a privilege.
Probably cost $125,000 to fill up the gas tank on that thing?
Those engines don't put out much smoke when starting. They're in top notch condition.
nukes away - perhaps an Iranian run to test capability - little boy sounds right
Lest we forget
Is the Confederate Air Force back in business? The South will rise again!
Careful there! You could get 'canceled '. Fact: circa 1955, the United States Post Office issued a First Day commemorative stamp honoring Confederate Veterans.
Awesome watching her take off with Boulder's Flatirons in the background.
I saw Fifi fly with Vera, Lancaster Bomber, at an airshow in Ontario a couple years back, amazing to see together!
Bravo perfect
My dream Superbowl flyover involves FiFi and Doc escorted by two mustangs. Fifi videos never get old!
Isn't "Fifi" a prison masturbation device?
Lmao the framerate making the prop look droopy
She sure is a beauty. A beautiful piece of history.
Actually this is a PB4Y 'Privateer' which is based off the B-24 Liberator. It was longer and was used for Maritime Patrols and anti sub warfare. The single tail was preferred in this model because the twin rudders on the B-24 can block the view and you really don't want to shoot your own tail off. The Engines are different in the Privateer than what is seen on a Liberator.
Красивая машина и ухоженная!
She is a beauty, seen her in person not long ago ❤
A B-24 doing a fly by and it looks like at the Salinas international air show i have been to the show
B24 liberator probably used for sub.locator and bombing, not able to land in water but long Range enough for Atlantic patrols
PBY's are twin engine this looks like a lancaster 😅
The Lancaster has a double stabiliser . I think its a B 24 liberater .
What a big beautiful girl, that sound!!
Even through video I've got feeling how much power this warbird has. Incredible footage. Especially I love close-up camera work. My respect and Sub of course!!!!
A true combat b25 veteran aircraft
My personal favorite A/C
Ain't they beautiful❤

Mitchell,my velle......
That's when the military had a real man in it
Love that sound
Красивая машина!!!
Dang, for a second I thought it was floating down the runway until the tail dropped. Gorgeous touchdown. Like butter on a hot pan.
