So by saying ‘just get to the point’, you’re in a sense telling someone to disregard respect for their friends when talking to them. This is difficult for Mexicans to do because we’re taught to respect or friends and be blunt with those we don’t necessarily respect. As for your mamones, there are snobs in all facets of life and cultures, Mexicans are no different. Rather than taking it personal, wondering why someone is being snobby, try to understand why certain people of that culture are snobby. Is it a class conflict a cultural conflict or a personal conflict.

Aqui es para estudiar o trabajar en oficina, si no les gusta eso pues no es la ciudad indicada.

You’re gonna be so disappointed when you move to the US. I grew up in Monterrey and now I live in the US. I hear gunshots almost every night, the healthcare system here is terrible and super expensive (you really need a good health insurance), it’s very hard to make real friends, people don’t care about each other, and you will depend on having a car to go anywhere. The US is not walkable at all unless you live in NY, Monterrey is very walkable compared to the US. Also, it was very unusual to see homeless people in Monterrey, here they are everywhere, they’re intoxicated and dangerous. Good luck with your new life in the US!
