The update firmware button was grayed out for me, i downloaded everything and was still like that. I was using the front USB ports of my PC, once I tried the ports on the back of my PC it worked.
Is there no way to update it if I'm on a Mac? :(

kudos to you, havent used my switch / mayflash adapter in months and when i went to play again it wasnt working, was definitely frustrated a bit. works now and everything is being recognized after the firmware update, thanks for all.

I downloaded the 10 first accidentally. doesn’t work. Everything is brand new. Is there a way to fix this?
@jboy707 download the other ones maybe? Mine was brand new and was 2 or 3 versions behind.

My comp hates Mayflash. Download is blocked and device isn't showing up when I plug it in. These steps won't work if the download is blocked and the Device is not recognized...I'll keep working on it and report back if I figure it out.

did you try it?
Mine only detects my switch controller and 1 gamecube controller, the other 2 slots plugged in both control the second player instead of filling the 3rd and 4th slot.

i bought my mayflash gamecube adapter and updated it to v10 and it still dosent work and thats latest update i dont know whats going on

@jboy707 apparently for me when I put my GameCube controller in the 3rd slot in my mayflash all of a sudden it read it on the switch but the first and second don't work

After the last firmware updating in the nintendo switch my Gamecube adapter stop working. At first in Smash ultimate it appears two players at the same time with one controller, and suddenly it stopped workin. Any solution?

@RealMsngr just after the 19.0.2 patch, worked fine in .1, just had to restart the switch, but now I haven't been able to play GameCube controller in 4 weeks.

I got an adapter that's not from Mayflash and tried this. Finally, the button started to be clickable at Version 5 but I got the message: Firmware doesn't match. So my adapter is just garbage now, right? xD

@MrMonkeyTwinz hey I just checked the website, and it seems that the adapter works on MAC it can only be updated on windows, they released a new update for Mac support on 25th of November. But it says there that it has to be updated on windows unfortunately.

Someone PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!! I have a Gamecube controller adapter for Wii U/PC and it works well had it for years (NEVER DROPPED IT, KEEP IT SAFE) since I got smash ultimate in 2019, then after this update it just kicked the bucket on me mines is an OLED blue adapter. An Idk if it is Mayflash , if it is please let me know.
For those who have the button greyed out all the time: maybe try on a computer with Windows 10 (or older)? I had the button greyed out on a PC with Windows 11, but I could successfully update to V09 with a PC on Windows 10 (also not plugging in the grey cable). Note: I supposedly have the "old" model (without the Mayflash logo in the top right corner) so maybe it does work with those regardless.

People have the greyed out issue because they installed Zadig driver on their computer . Please uninstall Zadig driver （WinUSB or libusbK）firstly and then to update W012 .
Has anyone had any success with the Panda Global adapter? I got it from Kickstarter a few years ago and really dont want to get another adapter, if I can help it.
so for anyone who can't update because the button is always gray, apparently this update is only available for the newer models of the adapter, so if you have the old Wii U adapter, you're shit outta luck

I did manage to upgrade the firmware on an "old" model (without the Mayflash logo on the top right)! But I needed to use a PC with Windows 10, it did not work with a PC on Windows 11, maybe that was the issue.
@@Prosper0h I'm on a PC w/ Windows 10 and it does not work. I am using an older Mayflash adapter model. Like, I've had it for 5 or more years. Possibly longer. Also tried running it in compatibility mode for Windows 8 and that did not work either.
Thank you very much! After a while I was able to update it to the latest version and make it work! To the guys that could not update it. Remember to switch the adapter to PC mode. If you don’t switch, it won’t let you update it.

Button to update firmware stayed greyed out. Tried downloading every available update in case it's the next down the line but still didn't work. Even had the black cord plugged in while in pc mode. Honestly at a loss at this point.
Maybe try with a PC on Windows 10 (or older)? The button stayed greyed out for me on Windows 11, but it worked on another PC on Windows 10.

i just got my first adapter and controller for MK8 and they didn't connect. All the vids and threads online are quite old and none of them (that i found) talks about this issue. AND THIS WORKED! Thank you so much man, saved my day

@Hessey96 probably not. This update is support from the manufacturer of the mayflash adapter only. I think each individual adapter would have to have their own update support, but unfortunately unless is a high-quality one, it is unlike to get it. Which one do you have?
