The main street looks amazingly litter free and clean...... Maybe those strong winds blew it over Albert Hill......??
in the 70s i would play the arcades at Seaton Carew👍👍
MetroCentre was better in the 80s
It's a lovely ruined castle and has lovely coastal walks around it. 😊
Never been but on my list of places I'd love to visit, great share
That bus journey is a nightmare 😴 I've suffered it many times.
I was born in Alnwick, grew up in a wee village not far and left as soon as I could. And when I look at what it's become (Town, County and Country) I've no regrets.
What a quaint little place, my mother was born there god rest her soul, one day I'm hoping to visit again.👍
An enjoyable trip down memory lane.. thank you. For a short time in my teens I was employed at the Council Offices. 1964. Wow. Many moons ago.
The gates didn’t use to be there and you could walk up to the base of the fall….looks like they have decided to put the block on that now….don’t think I will be paying 4 quid a head to stand 50 yards back and look at it when we visit again….totally spoiled it.
born and bred in south shields thanks for this it was lovely
What a lovely place this is…
Thank you for yòur comment. It is a beautiful village with lovely walks and great food.
Thank you for this video. I’ve just subscribed to your channel. ❤
Thank you Jane. Much appreciated. If there's any type of places you'd like to see more of please let me know
found your seashell 😂😂
It was beautiful can't wait to go back. Glad you liked the video
Years ago I used drive from Ireland to Oxford about twice a year. I always stayed a night here . A beautiful postcard type village.
Thank you sharing this beautiful video
Never been that far east directly from Stanhope before (went as far as Wolsingham). Thanks for the video and never knew there was a castle there! Bloody hell that's amazing.
Glad you enjoyed it. You can't get into the castle itself but they do have a lovely cafe.
Of course I love this as a Whickham born and bred living in Australia now.
Theres a channel where the 2 Ameri an kids just wont shut up while going thru scrap train yard. You are awesome for being respectfully quiet. Thank you brother. No words is more than enough.!
Joiners Arms (Nimmo's 4X anyone?), Bridge End before it was opened up to one room, the Fighting Cocks (Vaux), Lloyds Bank isn't where it used to be, Timothy White and Taylor chemist, Queens Head (Rosies to those that knew!). Palace cinema (one of two in Chester-le-Street and probably the flea pit for Saturday morning kid's matinees). At least the Post Office and library are in the same place!
God thats changed so much and not for the better ??? it was jumping at one time its sad to see it like this
Hi there you need to park on the side road nearby, then walk on the main road for 10 mins, before cutting through a forest and up a small hill, but any decent hiker could do it. From the side road it took me about 20 mins in total. Beautiful countryside so well worth it.
Nice one. I flew my drone over that last year. I fancy going back there again and getting a closer look. Is it easy to walk to?
You are most welcome..😊
Enjoyed this Thank you 😊
We found your rock here!
Ahh, the Nine Pins. A good old bikers bar back in the 70s as I remember
I grew up in chested-le-street moved to cyprus 11 years ago cant believe the difrence in the 80s 90s chester was just amasing what happend ?
This place used to be so, so nice years ago. Full of character and appeal. There was foliage everywhere, and there were several fountains. It's soulless now. Half of the shops are shut now too.
Thanks for taking us along. Love these sort of videos. Although it makes me miss it and want to come visit more lol.
You are very welcome. Glad you enjoyed it
OK, I commented as I was viewing...Thank you so much for posting this vid Cheesekake, it was absolutely wonderful ...It made my heart smile to see Cong burn has been set free .
Blow your nose lol...I see the jobcentre was made redundant 🤣
At least the Black horse is still kicking...Lots of To let signs but it's looking far better than many UK high streets.
Grew up and lived in the area for 40 years...moved away to live in Tasmania 14 years ago...So much is familiar, but also so much has changed. What happened to the Queen's Head pub???
This video is amazing! 🌊🌿 Love the breathtaking scenery and peaceful vibes! 😍 Great job capturing the beauty of High Force Waterfall! 👏👍
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the video. This was taken after a very wet storm so the falls were extra beautiful. Its a very lovely place to visit at any time of year

So many beautiful beaches on both sides of the Tyne. Which beach would be your favourite?

Nice one!
The last minutes of this video reminds me of a scenery from Vera (TV crimeseries)
I was here in 1997. Beautiful place. Wish to go back there some day. Anyway, nice to see this video. Kind regards from Norway 😊
