Well… its not the best place. Food is ok. Rooms are nice, beach is ok, but lots of local sales people.. not sure.. i’ve certainly stayed at better. Barcelo’s Maya resort near Cancun is much better!!
Put it this way. I wont go back to that one (Barcelo Vallarta) but will go back to Barcelo Maya.

The food here is beyond disgusting. This place poisoned my family so severely my 6 year old had to get emergency IV fluid and is still suffering from constant nausea and diarrhea. All 5 of us got EColi from this place.

Thank You, The last time I drove through the pass was in 2011. Its lookin good. I do miss Calgary sometimes but then I remember how the chinooks made my feel, very bad headaches. Although the most pleasant thoughts are of Lake Louise's, with camping or my favourite SKIING. Or Bragg Creak for off-roading fun.
Its looking a lot different. Highway should be pretty good by end of next year through that section!

Can someone tell me what the security is like.
Security is pretty good at both, but Vallarta does not have ability to restrict locals beach access. So you will see some beach vendors at Barcelo Vallarta. Maya does restrict access to beach, just by the natural terrain.. No way for non guests to access.. Both have in room safes as well. thanks for watching!!

Great Video! We be in Sayulita in 2 weeks. Staying at the Amor. 2 families, each have 2 adults and 3 kids. ages 9-13 Do you recommend a golf cart per family for the whole stay? 6 days
You really don’t need a golf cart. I mean its ok to use, but Sayulita is pretty small and easily walkable. We stated at Amor as well.. its a great place.. if you are up top like we were its a bit of a hike to your villa, and golf carts can only park at bottom as well in the flat area. Have fun. Its a nice little town.

Was the food bad or was it just not presented well?
Presentation was bad… food was not hot, which is worrisome, and food generally was very bland in taste/flavour. I mean you can eat it.. but the local restaurants in Puerto Vallarta are much better than this resort. Not all Barcelo’s are as such.. just this one. Barcelo Maya food was fantastic.. here not so much! I suspect they have a staffing issue. Not enough talented people.
