The problem is anything bigger than an 8 inch diameter in PVC gets expensive fast. in 10 inch diameter they are around $150 a foot, and a 12 inch would be around 380 a foot. it’s just not even worth it price wise anything under than an 8 inch. $150 for a small tube it’s just crazy better off making a box out of wood. But cool build if you already had the pvc pipe and didn’t have to buy it.

Just ANOTHER follow up on my last modification, yesterday, I made an arch bracket out of a piece of scrap aluminum strap, it raises the bearing bracket 1 1/4" and places the thrust bearing 1/8" from the top of the drum. It is much easier to remove the inside drum. Good luck with your mods!

So, I made a slight modification to this thrust bearing, Using the side of a new sharp 3/16" drill bit, I cut a grove into the face of the nylon wheel, and then installed an O ring, the contact area is smaller, the grip is better and no skipping on the end of the drum to the nylon wheel. works like a dream!
