Enjoy your stay, and avoid tourist traps. Im can recommend you some great restaurants that are not for tourists, like Trófea Grill, or Bécsi Szelet Vendéglő, both they have several units in Budapest, your phone can help you locate one. Also, you can simply ask a local for some ideas. Plazas always have so-called kifőzde, which provide traditional food for reasonable prices. Plazas like Westend City Center or Allee are easy to find using tram 4-6 or the Metro. But good food is literally everywhere on the streets, just avoid tourist traps. :) 🤘🏼

08:13 It's a poppy liquer (or palinka); I'm sure it's called Opyyum becouse opyum was made out of the milk of the poppy-heads, that's why it is forbidden in the EU and I think only Hungary(maybe Romania too) allowed to grow it (becouse we use poppy-seeds in food and sweets traditionally) under very strict policies, scans, checks and such, only a few company do this..Even EU check them time to time..

Honestly ... and I'm not trying to make excuses but ... it's hard for a reason you might not expect. I'm pretty much deaf. When I hear people speaking it all sounds like a wall of sound. I *think* I hear a "sh" or a "sch" at the end when other folks say Budapest, but I'm not sure. And turning that into a sound that I can make is nearly impossible. I'm trying my friend, I'm seriously trying. But it's next to impossible to replicate a sound you can't really hear.

it's called Váci utca (street), dont let the shops and restaurants there fool you, they are all very expensive there (tourists traps), find a small place a few streets further and you can get the same meal half price. :)

06:21 so you found the most expensive street:)) that street is specialized mostly on westerners or millionaires or billionaires; btw probably the drinks was 60-70% of the price, in hungary the most catch is on drinks not on the food^^ There are some places where 1 shot is around the same price as a bottle of it bought from a shop, well capitalism:) If you see a food seller (just a basic one, not a restaurant) with 10+ ppl waiting in line, that's a good food seller with good price! Keep it in mind^^ (tho there is always 1-2% chance to fail the practice)
