Outlived || A “First Year Film”
Time has been nothing but cruel to 婆婆 (popo) who dreads her own birthday. With no one left to celebrate with her, what else is there?
This was made during my first year in animation school but wasn’t part of an actual class (hence the “” around first year), I just wanted to test out the process of making a film! I learned a lot and I’m so glad it’s done so I can work on something else ToT. This took about 3 months with the bulk of the work being done in the past month.

This reminds me a lot of my Great grandmother who passed away a few years ago, she outlived all of her kids and family the only people she has left were her grandkids who lived far away

my grandma has outlived her husband but passed away less than 2 years afterwards. Seeing her deteriorate in real time was one of the most soul crushing things i've ever experienced, and i've experienced a lot of stuff. This animation is so beautiful and so touching ;; i miss my grandparents...

This is such a great short movie, Tiffany. I can totally feel the despair. My heart shattered when I saw the popo had to switch from picking up a meal for two to having a meal for one. The cashier was really kindhearted to tuck in a surprise for her. Luckily, popo's day was brighter when she received a pot of food from a kindhearted person. Love this short video! Amazing job!
