I vaguely got into cosplay in 2015-2018. I did what would mostly be considered closet cosplays. Eventually I wanted to do a full proper cosplay with the help of my mom. It was gonna be Temari from Naruto. However, the fan proved to be the death of me. It was gonna be so involved and expensive to buy all the materials. Paint, wood, hardware, fabric. I bit off more than I could chew. Then I just switched into enjoying dressing up, makeup and being way too overdressed at any event I'm invited to. It scratched the same itch. I've always thought about getting back into cosplay tho!

I have friend who is now in California who organized an event like this for LGBQTIA+ people. It was sponsored by a local independent newspaper. I wonder if the RRT would be interested in helping. Also, I could ask my friend for advice. I know I'm partnered, but I want to help my friends.
