That tennis cardigan is giving it. Beautiful knits.
Thank you so much!!
the beatrix has been catching my eye a lot lately, definitely hoping to find a place for it in my queue 💛 your self drafted tennis cable cardigan is just special & creative! I’m in awe!
Thank you! I just finished the Beatrix a few days ago and I can say it was a success! It’s a beautiful design and the pattern is very well written
@ that’s AMAZING! you flewww through this project! 😍 can’t wait to make it some day - probably a sooner day now!😅
@morganunraveled I worked on nothing else, and 5mm needles definitely helps!! 😂
@@KnittingJungle that’s amazing, I love when a project is all consuming like that! I can’t wait to see it in the next pod!
Another impressive episode, loved hearing about all the of details in your projects! I’m currently working on a test knit and hoping for a quick rest of this winter ❄️
Thank you so much! I hope you’re enjoying your test knit 😊
Hi from Norway 🎉
Hello! Thank you for watching 😊
Girl, you are talented! I must also say that the elaborate and colourful colorwork patterns really suit you well.
Thank you so much, that’s quite the compliment!! 😊
Your Agnes Kofta is so beautiful. So awesome you were able to do the sleeves on the machine. Your Christmas stockings are perfect and cant wait to see your finished Christmas cardi in the next episode. I’m finishing up 3 different cardigans right now. The silver Leaf cardigan by Hanna Fettig only needs the ends weaved in (this is a hybrid with ribbing and laces fronts handknit and the back and sleeves down on the machine. The Frieze Cardigan (cabled cardi) by Amy Christoffers only has 2 more rows left of the button band and i will sew on the buttons (old pattern that I ripped out once and used different yarn to get a better fabric (i don’t recommend this one). And the Lumos Solem cardigan by Jill Suttell is half done (definitely recommend this one).
Hi, I'm from Poland - beginner knitter - I'm impressed about this what you knit last year like somehow beginner too - you have to have knitting in your blood:)
Hello! Yes, maybe I do! 😊 thank you for watching!
Don't you think that it was the mohair, not the superwash merino, that made that first sweater itchy?
Yes, thank you! I have since realized that it was likely the drops mohair I used 😊
Wow, you jumped right in to the hard stuff. So impressive. They are all stunning and unique.
Thank you so much!
Love all your dresses. The plaid dress with the Serkinet cardi is the best. Just love it.
Thank you very much!!
Bravo to you for use of your knitting machine to do what I call hybrid knitting (hand and machine knitting a garment). Your machine knitting explanations are fine and helpful.
Thank you! I’m really enjoying this hybrid knitting, and thank you for your feedback about my explanations! 😊
Your Agnes is beautiful!! Cant wait to get knitting from that ebook. That ebook was so worth it with all those patterns.
I totally agree - that ebook is probably the best book I have in terms of content and value! Which pattern do you think you’ll do?
Beautiful colorwork sweater!! Love your finished knits. Your husband is so lucky to get such a nice gansey sweater. Such a cute Halloween sweater for your daughter. Your machine knit wrap is amazing. I am so proud of how you are jumping in and trying many things on your machine. It is the best way to learn. I have yet to try the weaving technique but you have inspired me to try.
Thank you!! I agree that jumping in is the best way to learn - hard as it may be at times! I highly recommend the weaving technique because the finished product is so beautiful and thick. I’ve been meaning to try it out with some different punch cards
Such a cool idea for your tennis cardigan! I have played around trying to design a badminton themed colorwork yoke sweater for my husband because he is a badminton player. Excited to see the final result!
Thank you! I hope it turns out ok. A colorwork badminton sweater also sounds amazing! That would be so cute 😊
Hi Sarah , beautiful projects as always ! Thank you for the detailed explanations 👏 it’s so helpful. I’m raising the back neck of an Icelandic jumper whilst listening . Like you I am realising I need to start knitting summer garments in the winter and vice versa !
Thank you! It’s nice to pretend I’m in a different season 😂!
I enjoy your videos! I‘d choose B or C-buttons… or some eitler elegant wooden ones… 😊
Thank you for weighing in!! I’m leaning towards B or C as well!
Hi Sarah, thank you for a nice video! Just wanted to ask where you buy drops yarn in US - I tried to buy from their website directly, but it looks like they don’t sell the yarn there…thank you!
Hi! I buy it from lindehobby.com or rito.com 😊
@ thank you so much!! I didn’t know these websites! Appreciate it!
Wonderful little lamb you have birth to! I am living in Trollhättan in Sweden (where Saab cars originally were made). Tonight I am knitting on a mini jacket for my fourth grandchild who is expected in the beginning of april. ❤
Hello to you in Sweden and thank you for watching! Congratulations, that will be a lucky grandchild with a beautiful jacket! 😍
@ Thank you! And I am lucky to have the possibility to welcome this beloved one with some knitted stuff. Today I am going to buy more yarn in my favourite yarn shop. Try to give them my support, because I want to have the possibility to feel the fibres in my hands before I decide and buy what I need and want.
🍀💕🦋🦋
What a lovely episode Sarah💗 your knitting is so impressive and thank you for all the interesting and detailed information! I love the little cute sheep guy☺️ and the tennis sweater as well, intrigued to see the project finished! I am currently knitting on my Kuutar pullover🙂 I am seriously considering learning to sew, I like your dress so much and would like to sew a dress or a top with a madeira fabric as well😊
Thank you so much! I learned to sew a couple years ago, mainly by watching UA-cam! Rosery Apparel has a great channel with a lot of beginner videos. I highly recommend learning, it’s so fun! The Kuutar pullover is such a beautiful design!
Thank you very much for the tip! I've always felt intimidated by sewing but her channel looks great, I'll definitely give it a try ☺️ I love learning through UA-cam!
I would love to know when you learned how to sew, knit, and crochet. Which one was the hardest?
I taught myself how to knit and crochet from books when I was a teenager, and I learned to sew a few years ago by watching UA-cam. I think sewing might have been the hardest - learning things when you’re older is hard! 😂
I'm trying to teach myself crochet, knitting, and sewing this year. I learned to crochet (not as good as I would like to be) when I was a kid, and now I’m teaching myself to knit. I've owned a sewing machine for ten years but have never used it, so I also plan to take a couple of classes. Hopefully it goes well. I enjoy your podcast. Look forward to the next one. Thanks for responding.
Lots of inspiration ❤. I have recently started my first Sidsel Hoivik knit, her Amore sweater....I just love it! I think it may be my first time using a Hillesvag yarn, which I'm really enjoying
That’s wonderful to hear! I love sidsel hoivik and hillesvag yarn - it’s a perfect pairing! The Amore sweater looks so beautiful - which colors are you going with?
@KnittingJungle I ordered her kit, so the same colours as hers. I took advantage of a sale she had New Year's Eve
You are so talented! I love the lil lamb and as a tennis player myself, I absolutely love the tennis sweater❤ I just started knitting a couple of months ago and your projects are so inspiring 😊
Thank you so much!!
I always enjoy your episodes. I’m sitting here knitting my Agnes cardigan and listening to you, who love knitting as much as I do!
That’s great to hear! I hope you’re having tons of fun knitting the Agnes! It’s an amazing pattern
I love seeing all your projects! What a wonderful cabinet for all your sweaters and cute stuffies!
Thank you for watching! 😊
I just found your UA-cam channel and am enjoying all the things you’ve made. I love everything you’ve made this past year. And looking forward to see what you’ll be up to this year😊. I also crochet, knit and sew. It’s so helpful to be able to rely on all three of these crafts. I love your inspiration and that you just jump right in and give it all a try.
Thank you very much! I love to hear that you also crochet, knit, and sew - they are all great hobbies that will keep us busy for life!
*jaw drop* This was your SECOND SWEATER??! You are an incredible knitter! I'm blown away!! Way to go!
Thanks!! Definitely bit off more than I could chew but it turned out OK! 😂
Did I see that you picked up stitches using a crochet hook on your Beatrix Cardigan? What a great technique. Do you use that often?
Yes I do! It’s soo much faster for me when I use a crochet hook!
@@KnittingJungleBrilliant!
It was great seeing your projects again! 🧶 I especially like your Bifurca Vest and Seaton Sweater.
Thank you for watching! 😊
Thanks for another wonderful podcast! Really appreciated your explanation about the neckline on the cardigan. I am exactly the same, don’t like the neck lines to be too high, so I’m always knitting V-neck patterns. I’m keen to do more crewneck cardigans, So it is wonderful to have some tips. I will rewatch your explanation and try to incorporate your strategy . By the way, I was so inspired by your Agnes kofte That I Ordered in the exact same yarn/colors that you used. I’m excited to get started on it in the next week or so. Thank you :-)
Thank you so much for watching and leaving a wonderful comment! I hope that neckline explanation made sense; I will try to explain again in my next episode as well, and hopefully it works out! 😂. That’s so exciting you’ll be making the Agnes! It’s my favorite project from last year, and I hope you love it as well! The yarn combinations are incredible 😍
❤
OMG
Your happiness and excitement from your knitting is refreshing. So nice to see someone else who enjoys knitting as much as I do. Your wiola sweater is gorgeous and I am amazed with your knitting machine progress. You are obviously a fast learner. I bought her ebook after I bought the Wiola koftka for children. So nice to learn about her patterns from you. Your projects are very inspiring.
Thank you so much! Wiola is probably my favorite designer and I can't wait to make another one of her koftes!
Wow, you have beautiful taste ❤
Thank you!! 😊
Have you considered overdyeing the sweater to even out the color? Personally, I'd leave it alone, but if it bothers you, overdyeing is an option. It is a beautifully knit sweater.
That is a great idea that I never thought of! I think I'm probably too lazy to do something like that, but I will keep it in the back of my mind just in case :)
How do you get this much knitting done in such a short amount of time?
I spend a few hours knitting every evening and it seems to add up; sometimes more on the weekends
As everyone is saying here, you’re so so talented !!! Also it’s so refreshing to see patterns that we don’t see often, not a podcast about all the trendy pieces or all peititeknits. I don’t mean that these are bad, I myself am influenced and knitting a lot of petiteknit 😂, you inspire me to explore more other designers ❤
Thank you so much for your comment and feedback! There are so many other designers out there that I also want to try :)
You are soooo amazing!! Watching your 2024 sweater video and hearing that you dove into those complicated techniques early inspired me to start planning my first colorwork sweater!! Also, how would you suggest getting started with sewing to someone with no sewing experience? It's an aspiration of mine to sew garments one day.
Thank you very much for your comment! That is so exciting that you're planning your first colorwork sweater; I hope you will love it! I learned to sew by watching youtube tutorials. I recommend Rosery Apparel's youtube channel - she has a playlist that is perfect for beginners and will help get you started!
The colors in the Seaton sweater look great on you. Beautiful machine knit children’s sweaters. Love the colors. Where can you find the children’s pattern for the Wiola Cardigan? I see it on ravelry for adults but would love it in the children’s sizes. Thank you
Thank you! The wiola cardigan is in Norwegian here www.wiola.no/product-page/wiolakofta-til-barn. You can use google translate, or what I did was just use the charts and make up my own dimensions. Hope that helps!
@@KnittingJungle Thank you
@@KnittingJungle Very excited! Bought the pattern and had it translated to English. Can’t wait to pick out colors and put charts into DAK (Designaknit program) to get back onto the knitting machine. I find the Knitting for Olive Merino which is a light fingering to work so nicely on my standard knitting machine. And it is soft enough for the grandkids . (Not sure if the alpaca from Sandes that she used in pattern is fingering or not.)
Wow! So cool that you know how to use Designaknit! Did you teach yourself how to use it? I agree - the knitting for olive merino works perfectly in my knitting machine and everyone in the family loves the fabric it creates! Your grandkids must be very lucky 😊
Cant wait to hear about your machine knitting adventures. I have 3 machines (bulky, mid gauge and standard). I have been a hand knitter for many decades and thought the machine would help me get things done quicker with the boring sections. But I also do whole garments on it. I have made a hybrid fairisle cardigan - Josefien for machine knitters by Sophie Ochera for my grandaughter (where you hand knit the yoke and the rest is machine knit). Machine knitting has a steep learning curve but totally worth the time. At first I thought I could only use coned yarn and purchased a used cone winder but I have been using my hand knitting yarn stash with success. Just winding into a cake and putting the cake in a glass mixing bowl and pulling from the inside of the cake and each row pulling some out of cake until it just pulls easily. The bowl stops the cake from jumping around. So give it a try if you feel comfortable. I belong to the Machineknitcommunity.com and Knititnow.com -both have been extremely helpful in my Machine knitting journey. Enjoy!
انا ايضا سوف احيك جاكت له جيوب 😂😂
So fun abut the Brimfield antique show. You got some great finds. One of your past episodes you mentioned it and I told my husband that This is something my husband and I always say will we will do someday. Was wondering the same thing as you about slippery slippers. I will watch in the comments for others suggestions and experiences. I am in Wisconsin and would definitely use these kind of slippers and would be perfect for gifts. Wow your colorworks Seaton sweater is beautiful….I gasped when you showed it. You are a fast knitter. Awesome that you are that far already. So love your Serkinet. I am spinning yarn for this one. I love Kate Davies patterns.cant wait to see your progress and thoughts about it. I feel like i found my knitting twin in you. With all the patterns you choose, the had knitting, machine knitting and being a seamstress etc. Also because you mentioned when you were frustrated by a pattern -you and your husband did your best to decipher it. My husband helps me that way too. 😊
Thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful comment! Wow, how long will it take you to spin yarn for that sweater? That is incredible! For the slippers, the best solution I found was to sew leather soles to the bottom (the puffy paint trick didn’t work for me). I highly recommend the Brimfield fair and hope you get to go sometime! There’s one in May, July, and September, I believe. So cool that you also are into machine knitting and sewing!
@ I have already scoured the fleece so it could take me a few months to get it all spun up since I work and do all my other crafts plus 5 grandchildren. Love doing it all.
Wow, that is incredible! Such a huge amount of work! You seem like an amazing crafter 😊

Your intro video of the animals and your steeking etc is so wonderful along with the relaxing music. ❤ I just starting this episode so wanted to comment before I forget. Cant wait to see your Marie Wallin fair isle sweater progress.
Thank you for your kind comment!
I am going back to view all your episodes after finding your channel with your 2024 knits. Love spending time knitting or spinning while watching. So refreshing, relaxing and fun seeing your progress and your amazing ways of fixing knitting issues when they arise (which they do for all of us). Thank you for also showing your sewing projects. I love your choices of patterns. It has been awhile since I have been sewing garments and it has motivated me to try these patterns.
Thank you so much for watching and your very kind words 😊. There will be another sewing project in my upcoming episode!
Oh my goodness, I love all your colorwork projects! I'm hoping to do more colorwork this year, so this is so inspiring!
Thank you for watching, and I hope you get to knit some colorwork this year!
🍀💕🦋🦋🦋
You are insanely talented
Thank you! You are too kind
Lovely projects!! I live in MA too! 😊
Thank you, and hello neighbor!
Loved all your projects. What type of knitting machine do you have? And did you take classes to learn how to use it?
Thank you! I have the silver reed sk 280. I used www.theknittingschool.online/ online classes to learn everything. It took several months to get through all the online lessons, but they are very good and comprehensive.
@@KnittingJungle thanks.
I just bought the Marie Wallin kit ❤I was totally inspired by your version. It’s my first kit from her, and I love colorwork too! The little lamb is so sweet -well done 😊
That is awesome! I'm sure you will love knitting on that since you love colorwork! Let me know how it turns out!
