Hi Sarah. Thanks for the mention 🤗 Your Agnes is looking so beautiful 😍 The combination of merino and mohair is such a lovely idea! Looking forward to seeing your Christmas sweater. Happy Making 💕
I’m so glad UA-cam recommended I check out your channel! I really enjoyed seeing your beautiful projects. You are delightful! Thank you for sharing. ~Amy, from Nebraska
Hi Sarah! So glad to have your podcast! You’re lovely to listen to and all of your project are beautiful. I’m from Virginia and right now I’m knitting on the Gitlfriends cardigan by Ankestrick, and waiting for yarn I ordered to make the Agnes dark by Kristin Wiola 🤗. Btw what sewing machine do you have? I’m considering on buying one…
Hi! I'm a hand knitter, crocheter and spinner. I've also sewn garments for myself and my husband. I quilted for many years as well. Currently, I'm knitting a Musselburgh hat and the Glenfiddich cardigan. So happy to have found your podcast and the hints and tips for where to find good fabric and yarns. I live on Orcas Island in Washington state.
That Agnes is to die for!! Love those colors. Beautiful work. That's my next project. Just finishing up the Terracotta sweater now.
Hi Sarah, i see you for the first but not the last time 😊 you have beautiful Projekts and yor green Dress is ablolutly amazing, i love it ❤ deer greadings from Austria Tirol 🙋♀️🥰
Hi Sarah ! I hand knit, I machine knit, I crochet and I sew, so I'm so happy I found your podcast ! I'm from Provence, in France. Have a nice day !
Wow, that’s so cool that we share all the same hobbies! Thank you for your kind comment and for watching! 😊
Lovely knitting Sarah. I knit the ingrid slipover for myself a few years ago in Kelbourn Woolens Scout. It's one of my favorite knitted items and although many of Petite Knit patterns combine a mohair with another yarn, the Scout by itself worked out great. I like it so much I may knit another Ingrid slipover in another yarn. I like the textured pattern and found it easy to lengthen as well. Very useful garment for a good part of the year in Minnesota.
All your projects are stunning! My new favourite podcast. I am a wool lover too 💯. Going back to watch all your episodes 🙌
Hi Sara. Thank you for the inspiration! I just order the Knitting for Olive yarn for Agnes. I'm so excited to knit this cardigan. Did you need more than one ball of any of the colors? The MC? I'm new to your channel and now I need to go start at Episode 1 Thank you again....Barrie
Hello! How exciting - I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with your yarn choice! For each of the yoke colors, I used only 1 ball of merino and the silk mohair (and made the size large). I would even say I used only maybe 1/2 of each ball of the yoke colors. I used 3 balls of merino and mohair for the background color, and 2 balls of the white marzipan color. Hope this helps, and happy knitting!
@@KnittingJungle Thank you! I'll order a few additional balls of both.
Love the last dress!
Thank you so much!
Your color-work sweaters are absolutely stunning and inspiring! Thank you for taking the time to make lovely content for us. 💙
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch!
Hello! I am from the Netherlands and just found your podcast, which I am very glad of. I am also knitting an agneskofte. I use totally different colours.
Very cool - so many knitting the Agnes right now! Which colors are you using?
Loved watching you! I could never get the hang of knitting socks, so joined Arne & Carlos 2023 MKAL, my first sock ever and the penny dropped, since then I am knitting socks and did Steven West MKAL sockalong in July 2024. So YES, do the Xmas sock and that teach you all you need to know to knit socks going forward 😊
Thank you for the advice and for sharing your experience! I hope to get bitten by the sock bug after this stocking l 😊
@KnittingJungle Put a reminder for Steven West Mystery sockalong for July 2025, I think you will love it 😀 happy knitting 🧶
Thank you! I’m immediately putting a note in my calendar - a sick KAL sounds amazing!
Hi from NH! It's so inspiring that you haven't been knitting too long because your knits are so beautiful. Pink and green are my favorite color combination and have been since I was a very little girl. I also really enjoy your sewing. The dresses are beautiful. Happy creating 💚🧶💚
Hello NH neighbor, and thank you! You have great taste in color!
I just found your podcasts and am thoroughly enjoying them! Hello from Grand Haven, Michigan.
Enjoy your channel and all your projects
Stockings are a great way to get used to knitting socks. I think it helps you get comfortable with the different parts of a sock, but in a larger form so it is easier to see what you are doing. I made a stocking to try out stranded knitting, so there are many good uses for knitting a stocking! Your sweater is gorgeous!
Thank you! That is a great point about the stocking being nice and large so you can see what you’re doing.
Sarah, your Agnes sweater is amazing!! We just opened up yarn sets for Corinne's version in Rauma Finullgarn today, so this timing feels pretty fun. Hope you can come see us in the shop soon and we can be sweater twins!
Thank you so much, and what a fun coincidence! I also would love to make it up to the shop one day!
🍀🍀
What a pleasure to see all your wonderful handcrafts. They all are a labor of love. Sendings you my compliments from Austria. Right now i am too in many knitting and sewing projects.
Thank you very much! I hope you are enjoying all your projects 😊
Tröjan/tröja = Sweater
Thank you!
I was thinking about making the agnes kofte and i think i am sold now 😅 i very much enjoy your podcast always inspired about the knittingmachine i think i need to setup mine too 😍 thank you for your beautiful podcast . Best regards from the Netherlands xx Jolanda
Thank you so much for your kind comment! I love my knitting machine so much - I’m not sure I could live without it at this point!
Your Seaton looks beautiful here! Clearly you were not alone in struggling with the instructions in the book. There are now errata on Marie Wallin’s site that clarify the neck and shoulder shaping! Hebridean has the emphasis on ‘de’ rather than ‘bri’ 🤓 I am in awe of your colorwork and steeking expertise. Knitting goals!
Beautiful makes. What a delight! Thank you 🤗
Thank you! 😊
Hi from Albuquerque, New Mexico! I love your channel. You are an amazing maker! All of your items are breathtakingly beautiful. I'm very inspired by your knitwear & your sewing. Plus you exude beauty & joy. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much - that is so kind! I visited Albuquerque for 2 days during a road trip about 10 years ago - it was one of my favorite stops!
Hi I,m from ALABAMA ,LOVE YOUR DRESSES YOU MADE ,AND YOUR KNITTED SWEATERS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL ,THE COLOR SCHEMES GO TOGETHER PERFECTLY . I SO ENJOY YOUR SHOW AND AM LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE OF YOUR KNITTING PROJECTS AND SEWING PROJECTS
Thank you so much!
Wauw, that colours of the cardigan, the’re really stunning!!!!!🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much - I totally agree!
Wow, what a stunning cardigan!
Thank you! 😊
It was so lovely to spend time with you, I just love everything you shared.
Thank you very much! Thank you for watching!
I really enjoy your episodes so much! I'm in Southeastern WI. Currently, I'm working on a pair of socks using stash leftovers in Christmas colors and also working on a Pinia Pullover.
Thank you very much! Christmas-colored socks sound delightful - that would certainly put me in the holiday mood 😊
Regarding socks, yes, a stocking is a great intro to sock knitting. It takes the fear and surprise out of the process. Sock knitting is so easy, just on tiny needles
Thank you for the advice!
Very impressive makes- you are such an adventurous maker! Would love to see you using your knitting machine- I have one but really have no clue what I’m doing! 😂the Clarissa dress is beautiful, you are inspiring me to sew again
Thank you! I will plan to take some knitting machine videos in the future! It’s definitely confusing in the beginning. I used the Knitting School Online lessons to get me going
I’m really enjoying your vlog! All your projects are inspirational and I’m encouraged to try them too. The Agnes looks fantastic and I love how fast you knit it. I bought the book a while ago, but was slightly intimidated by it. But not anymore since you explained your process. Thanks for sharing all your creativity with us.
@@KnittingJunglefab thanks for the recommendation!
Thank you so much for your kind words! Her patterns look so intricate that maybe they seem harder than they actually are. I find her instructions to be very good and pretty clear - but let me know if you need any help! Happy knitting 😊
I love that you are incorporating your knitting machine. I just moved and have not unpacked mine. I am so anxious to use it.
Ouuu how exciting!!
Maybe the Clarissa sleeves would be better to take fabric out of the sleeve cap to reduce fullness since that's where you add it when you want more poof when drafting. Just a thought... Great podcast! Love all your knits! I'm in TN.
Thank you for the great advice! I hadn’t thought to do that
Such beautiful knits ❤! Please check out Nikki's podcast, Knitting With Cat Hair. She has just swatched for the Agnes Kofka, and I'm so tempted! I've never knit with Rauma Finull, but it's on my wish list of yarns I want to try 😊
Ohh thank you so much! I will definitely check out her episodes!
The scarf/shawl/wrap you did on the machine is spectacular!!! How long did it take and how long have you been using your machine?
Thank you so much! It took maybe 4-5 hours and I started learning the machine a few months ago
Pretty cardigan! Matches green color of door!
Thank you! This must be my favorite shade of green 😊
You could dive in to the world of selbu mittens with the rest of your Hillesvåg yarn 😃
Great idea - thank you!!
Beautiful stuff you have made and I am interested in that new sweater you are thinking of making,!
Thank you! I have already cast on and I’m in love!
Hello from Norway. Thank you for a good knitting-time with you. I lived one year in Mansfield, MA many years ago and miss MA sooo much 🙂
Hello and thank you for comment! It’s a great state to live in 😊
just an fyi the way you showed you fixed your colorwork mistake you twisted the sts, just pickup the left leg of your sts not the right. Really helpful technique. Loved your vibes in general and really interesting to see people machine knitting wow 😍
Thanks for catching that! I better pay more attention next time!
Thank you for sharing your nice episode ! Your shawl looks very nice and cozy❤ What a great and beautiful solution for your stash
Thank you so much!
I also do both hand and machine knitting and loved seeing your work. Please keep including machine knitting in your podcasts.
@@majormomma I’m glad to know there are other people out there who are into machine knitting. I don’t see myself stopping any time soon because I’m loving it! Thank you for your comment!
Just found you on yt. So funny to see you sitting in the US lovning scandinavian knitwear and yarn❤. This week is fall vacation in Denmark where I live, and I am starting a efterår no 2 sweater as a treat for my self this week. Love you version. Kind regard from Birgitte Caning
-and LOVE you machinknittet shawl/blanket!!!🤩
@@birgittecaning5981 thank you for Your lovely comment! I certainly love my Scandinavian yarn and patterns! Enjoy your vacation and the efterår no 2! So cool to know that someone else is working on the same sweater
Beautiful FOs! Love the machine Rundt i Dalen. I have hopes of some serious machine knitting study this winter! Your repair technique with the crochet hook was brilliant! 🧶
@@LATHEANDLOOMPODCAST thank you for your comment! Good luck on your machine knitting adventures! It’s very fun and challenging at the same time
I just got a bunch of rauma for the Agnes too! We’re thinking of doing a Wiola designs KAL soon! My visit to the woolly thistle was very inspiring and I got a lot of plotolopi 😂 beautiful knitting as usual ❤
@@FiberTrek thank you so much! It seems like the Agnes is very popular right now - I’m so happy to know you are also planning to make one and I can’t wait to see yours! I’m also very jealous of your trip to the Wooly Thistle - I hope to make it up there one day! A Wiola KAL also sounds amazing
I really enjoyed your podcast! Love the colour work patterns you chose. Knitting is such a creative adventure. I will watch more of your podcasts for sure.
@@Janice-s2y thank you so much for your very kind comment!
Beautiful projects Sara! I purchased Wiola's e-book a few weeks ago and immediately ordered yarn for the dark version of the Agnes Kofta. Both versions are so beautiful and I look forward to seeing yours. Happy Making 🤗💕
@@KnittingWithCatHair thank you so much! I’m very excited to know other people working on the Agnes! Enjoy!
The deep armpit does not fit well under a coat in winter
