Excelente banda💯💯💯👌♥️
Sawthem a couple times at the cedar house in skaneateles ny, He's awesome
If someone said ‘weak vocals’ they have no idea what they’re talking about. People get on social media and think if they cut down someone else, it means they’re smart! No. It doesn’t.
Thanks for telling us who’s doing vocal’s here. My brain was getting dizzy running through all the excellent lead singers in Savoy Brown’s band. But it was good for me because my husband never cared to learn about band members and their lives the way I always did, until recently, now that we’re almost 70, but when we saw Kim Simmonds in Illinois a few years ago and they were all soooooo good and gracious and kind that he wanted to learn all about them and their lives. Better late than never, I say. RIP Kim!❤
Ssdsshhhhh beauty boogie blues of the boys of Saboy Brown
A shame if Keith Ford's music is lost to passing time. Rick Jewett can only carry the torch so long, a compilation must be made
LoL We most likely did
Song is " hard way to go " from original group " Savoy Brown " I believe the album was Raw Sienna
⚘
I saw Kim Simmonds on one of the 3 or 4 stages at The El Mocombo in Toronto..in the early 80’s….playing by himself…on a chair..to an audience of maybe 10 people….still basically melting our faces off. Never forget putting on the album “Street Corner Talkin”…every Saturday morning in Vancouver as we grooved to it while cleaning up the mess from the party the night before.
I saw Savoy Brown in about 1968 at the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco. Their singer was absolutely phenomenal. But Kim Simmons totally stole the show was playing a vintage Flying V and just tearing it up. Went to a lot of shows there during that time but that was definitely one of my favorites.
Really good - singer has massive talent.
Thanks for posting this. Played with Pete in Area 51. We played what would be his last show and the show was awesome. Definitely the way he would have wanted to go bc he went out doing what he loved, but we sure miss him. I’m sure we will continue but we can never replace him.
Hi Josh. Yes I followed you guys since he joined. I met him before he could drive. His dad would reluctantly drive him to practice. He could perform rush music note for note even that early on. He was one talented mofo. Can’t believe he’s gone. It just doesn’t seem real. It will take some time to heal for all of us that were close to him. Thanks for your comment Regards Rick Murray
To one of the greats...was turned on to Savoy Brown when I was 19 and saw them every chance I could...RIP Kim...you'll never be forgotten
Guy was an insanely good singer and he also wrote this great song.
Wow! A classic jukebox and a great song!
Excellence !
Kim Simmons is the best English guitar player, better than Clapton or Page by far
Dear Rick Murray, thank you for showing us your wonderful Wurtlizer Videos. I would like to ask you a favour, permission and your approval for me to use parts of this particular video, because my hobby is creating videos and adding my own type of music to the videos and later upload them too my Facebook or UA-cam channels. I would really appreciate it if you could please kindly oblige me with this request and in turn I would give you some nice credit mentioning of your product as a thank you. Please note that I would not be using the whole of your video, nor would I use your voice or comments, as I would just edit the video slightly to make it shorter in order to fit my piece of music or song to it. Thank you for taking the time to read my message and I look forward to hear from you soon. Regards John E.
I Would Love to see of the Rest of this show

I saw recent Facebook posts with a "remember these"next to a photo of a tiny coin operated small 50's looking little jukebox on a 50's style diner table ...and I was "WAIT JUST A MINUTE! ...HOLD THE PHONE! There is NO WAY for a miniature table sized jukebox to have WORKED back then! OBVIOUSLY it was a picture a modern MP3 or 4 player that only LOOKED like something from the 50's ...yet people THINK they remember such things? I can see how MAYBE one could have been fairly small IF it only played one of only several songs recorded on a single LP ...tech back then might have accommodated a mechanism that put the needle at the right spot to play a selected song ....or later a reel to reel tape with a locator system MIGHT have worked ...but to have any real selection the only way I can see a tiny unit on a table working is if it had a bundle of wiring from the table unit to a the actual BIG jukebox elsewhere ....THEN and only then I can see something like that functioning in the 50's or 60's even ....so the question is...WERE there ever little tabletop jukeboxes way back when? Or are people just imagining there were as they see the reproductions and mulch THAT with their memory of the full sized jukeboxes that WERE in diners all over the country...? Anyone?
Doug Chaney the small units you are referring to are wallbox units in a diner booth. They were simply remote selectors connected to the main jukebox. Later 60's versions also had speakers but sound still came from main unit. Some people take the later model ones and make MP3 players out of them. My jukebox in this video is a tabletop self contained that plays 78 Rpm records
Great work!
My favorite band! Turns out I own that very guitar Kim is playing in the video! Had a chance to see him last July and reunite him with the guitar backstage.
