great video tutorial on the Z Brush iPad! It would have been the best tutorial by a long shot if you'd have stopped that CONSTANT alarm noise in the back. It's okay though, I'll just take the background noise off with Fruity Loops and re-add it to the video. Why? Only to make this video become (to me) the best Gosh Mam Z brush tutorial in the land

Is an iPad Air good for using zbrush? or does it only work with iPad Pro?

jump back to the first hour since I missed it. Man what a great stream! You guys really killed it. Really appreciate you guys doing this. So happy to have ZB on the pad. I literally dropped my subscription because I had been on Nomad so much but signed right back up at the end of August when my Maxon rep let me know it was about to drop! So nice to be able to be around the family and noodle around. UI is so so good, they got so much into that v1. They really set the bar high.

Hello, which version should a newbie to Z-Brush start with, Desktop or iPad?

Good to see Raul after 9 months ! This workshop will be great for someone who likes to sculpt hyper realistic super muscular super heroes. Mike and bradley are one of the most talented artists I know. I recommend anyone who is reading this comment..Either its a daniel bel or Raf grasseti path you want to walk. This course can be the great foundation of your journey.

As a newbie and coming from nomad, I’ll have to say that the two things I relied on with nomad were sculpt layers which rely on heavily and uv/texture mapping which isn’t a dealbreaker because I used them to make hair cards and in zb we have fibermesh. I’m not understanding how morph targets work but it definitely isn’t as versatile as sculpt layers which I hope it gets eventually. I’m a little stoked about not having texture maps because that’s how I import reference photos on a plane within the app. I’m assuming they’ll get these at some point.

unfortunately idont know if was the ipad it self or the recording tool that you used but the peformance are really clunkie even in a low res model like the sphere, but since have a free version, i can give a try, good models btw

Using the cloth brushes work really well, if you want to have more control; clothpull, clothmove, and clothnudge are great to use. And sometimes turning the collisionvolume off is better. Collision Volume has an inflate value that drives how close the cloth gets to any mesh that it can collide with... 0.24 is a nice start. Also the Inflate, Deflate, Expand and Contract settings can be turned on with addtion to their x,y,z axis to drive how the cloth reacts when Run Simulation is pressed. Contract with only the x axis selected would cause the cloth to squeeze from both sides to the center. Contract with only y will shrink the cloth and go against gravity. These four settings can be on while you use the cloth brusthes as well.

zbrush doesnt allow any polygon to be ngon, so zmodellor cant perform certain actions like in blender
