Never owned a micro tech, but I have several bench mades and spydercos and this lil knife here is one I can carry without worrying about losing !! Yes sir ! Light tackle is all I need for those white bass, and it always surprises me what hits those small lures.

Went earlier this year to try and fish but the river was really low compared to when I shot this video. I’ve only been there a couple of times but it’s always a treat when I’m there.

Odds are any day is the spring with lower winds coming from the SE to push cleaner water in you are going to catch

Like the comment below said wind conditions play a part on whether or not the fish will bite. But even then sometimes even with perfect conditions the bite can be slow. Personally I think the biggest mistake people make is using the wrong tackle while fishing the jetties. I would highly recommend the slip float rig because you can adjust the depth without having to change out your rigs. Use a small hook or treble hook size 6 or 8 on live shrimp and I can almost guarantee you’ll get on some fish. Here’s a video that shows you how to set up the rig. The only thing I would change is instead of using the swivel weight just use a regular egg sinker. In my subdivision big dawg. A lil private pond we got. It hasn’t hit in a while the heat from the summer killed almost everything that pond had and the water levels are real low now.

Maaaaaan my apologies for the delayed response, I think on that day I went with a bigger sized j hook, but honestly I don’t use those anymore I would go with with a circle hook size 10/0 for the big bulls. I just buy the box of 25 from Academy, brand: “eagle claw lazer sharp”. I use those and they haven’t failed me yet !! Good luck !! Tight lines !!

Nah. They taste terrible, atleast common carp do. Other species of carp might be different.
