    I noticed when you unlatched one car it rocked violently, then I seen you use your foot to push down 3 times to tighten a strap, I've never seen ANY other hauler tighten straps to this extreme.

    • @Soliditude
      @Soliditude Рік тому

      I do tighten them pretty strongly, but the foot was only for ease of use on this particular trailer and strap setup. When you do it a thousand times, your arms get tired from the ratcheting all day. That being said, most haulers criminally under-tighten these. You can’t really overtighten a tire to failure, but you can for sure have it looser. It’s all fine until you get into any extreme situations, and they’ll slip out sideways.

    Question: the m2 have cummins L9? Waths the towing capacity. I know the payload is big ... but i can find the towing capacity . thanks for sharing 👍

    • @Soliditude
      @Soliditude Рік тому

      Towing capacity isn’t relevant in commercial trucks. It can tow anything as long as you don’t violate the axle weight limits. Drive axle needs to be under 20k lbs, and trailer axles need to be under trailer axle limits depending on their configuration.

    • @Soliditude

      I run in Cali and the PNW. No, the 5500 would be overweight on every rating with 6 cars. People do it, but it’s not good nor legal.

    I’m new in this line of work, I have 2022 3500 looking for trialer was looking at mini 5 trailer but seen a couple of the videos of the infinity trailers look bad ass, but three times the price is it worth it? Are they that much easier to work with or safer of a trailer than the mini five?

    • @Soliditude
      @Soliditude 2 роки тому

      These trailers are completely worth the higher price, believe me. The Mini-5 is the most difficult trailer to load that there is, IMO.

    Is it possible to use ram 3500 high output 6.7 diesel dually with mini 5? 5 cars?

    • @Soliditude
      @Soliditude 2 роки тому

      Yes, it’s possible, and people do it in Cali all the time, but you will be running overweight on all the fully limits. Only a Ram 5500 can run this legally. In Cali, dullys are exempt from weigh stations, but everywhere else you could potentially get busted. You will be exceeding the drive axle weight and the gross weight.

      Looking to get a ram 5500 and Kauffman mini 5 soon... is it still good money to be made in the industry with gas prices these days?

    • @semprefidelis76
      @semprefidelis76 2 роки тому

      @@jnatty75 I’m not an authority here I’m new. I think it’s possible to make money with a mini 5 type car hauler for minimum. Anything less, no. I’m renting a 3 car Kaufman wedge. On average cars pay $0.50-$0.90 / mile. Vans/trucks little more. You can make money no matter what with a mini 5. And you can run it with a cheaper Ram 3500. I financed the Ram 3500 and renting a Kaufman 3 car but I want out of this, car hauling or driving not for me. My truck has 17k miles on it, 2022 dually with aisin transmission. It’s a basic tradesman practically new. I really want out of this. Not because of rates but I want a different career now. If you are interested, I can sell you my truck or if possible, you can take over payments with 5k payment to cover my down payment. Maybe if I saw the potential of making more money with mini 5, I would be more interested but I’m not interested in driving anymore - found out that I don’t like it after getting cdl A and all that..

    • @semprefidelis76

      @@jnatty75 for better diesel prices, you get a 90 gallon auxiliary fuel tank, cost $800-$1000 or even cheaper in fb marketplace. You fill in south states and this helps quite a bit. Calif/western states has higher prices but rates are also better.
