Awning Replacement Part 2 New LED Lights

After nearly losing the trailer to defective lights that caught fire, I am now in the process of replacing the parts myself as it is so much cheaper to do it myself over what a dealer will charge.

We have a 2022 Coachman Legacy RV built by Forest River. The LED lights caught fire and we could of lost the whole trailer. Neither Coachman or the Awning Manufacturer are willing to take responsibility for fixing the lights & awning so here is part 1 of my attempt to do so

The things on the doors could be either park of the door locking system or perhaps additional ventilation.
Thank you so much for posting this! We’re trying to assemble the same coop today😅
Hey! Really helpful video! I have a question...can the roosting bars be hung lower than intended? I'm going to be keeping English Orpingtons (very large, heavy breed), and they need to be no higher than about 12" to prevent them from breaking their legs when they come down from the roosts. Thank you for any info - I really appreciate it!
Did you get the door? And if you did, what door did you get?
My first ever chick coop...I think I got the ROOF put on in 7 minutes because it was starting to rain!!🐔🐔🐔🐔 The whole thing took me about an hour or so... Seriously though, I would have never gotten it together without your video. The provided instructions are crap!! Thank you so much!!!
I've been looking at this coop for several months. I wanted for a couple older hens but I recently got 2 silkie babies. I have put together two small coops that say "5 or 6 chickens". Lol! Really they mean 2 to 3 chickens. This is going to be perfect for my silkies. I will even be able to add 1 more. This video helps. But I think they have improved the directions.
Well, my instructions are beyond salvagable....I wish the video was slower than the Benny Hill speed, lol.
Glad I found this because I left my box in the rain and the instructions were ruined. I have built several other coops so that experience and this video should make it possible to build.
I'm wondering if your instructions are different from mine because you took a lot of steps that are not listed in my instructions before assembling the sides and back
Thank you for this! It made the assembly process so much easier!!! Chickens love the new coop❤
The music seems about right.
Thank you for visiting Lights and Ice, we are so happy that you had such a wonderful time.
Such a stunning light display!
Do you use the heater while in motion? I'm wondering if the wind would cause any issues blowing into the exhaust port.
No issues with wind etc, runs just fine
What website did you purchase your through hull exhaust part
www.ebay.com/str/dieselheaters4ultd
The video gets the job done I wasn't totally confident in what I read so it's nice to see the visual. I would have appreciated a voice over of what he was doing and which part went to what along the way for quick reference
How has this held up? Have you had any issues with it getting too hot?
So far it has been fine, chickens like it, does not appear to get too hot, easy to clean.
This is great! Thanks for this video! I'm putting mine together this weekend and appreciate having a video guide like this! What do you recommend to seal along the plastic overhang that protects the gap in the nesting box? Caulk? On the Tractor Supply website, people's reviews were mostly positive- more than any other prefab coop of this size on any other site. I'd spent hours looking. Some folks suggested caulking along the inside of the floor edges and one person added insulation board. Not sure where (under the coop, between the two floor pieces?) or how they did that. Several folks painted before or after assembly and said the coop was holding up well that way. I'm going to try my hand at sawing and try to make a sturdy frame for the base so I can attach wheels and use this a portable run. I also ordered an automatic door and am trying to sort out which door side I want to cut for it. I'm thinking the side door used for cleaning. I'm open to suggestions!
I just used silicone seal, I still need to paint the coop. It won't do well through the winter if I dont
I bought this same coop and used your video as a guide, so thank you! Your coop seemed to line up much better than mine, although i think my ground was more uneven. i used marine grade sealant on all the cracks until i could no longer see light, only through the ventilation at the top. how did you reinforce the floor? i want to switch over to sand litter instead of the wood bedding but i am afraid the sand will be too heavy! I placed each of my coop legs on a two inch tall concrete paver so its slightly sitting higher than your coop i believe. Any thoughts?
I also put mine on pavers. For the floor I just put a couple of 12"x12" paver stacks under to take load
I appreciate the response! You were a huge help!@@rhapsodyfishing4120
Thank you for this! finished assembly of mine today and was truly helpful
Looking at a half top same look! You built a Solid great looking boat. Nice choice.
Very good Let's visit again freand
Did you put weight in your pot?
Yes all my pots have about 10lbs added
Very nice unit.
I just bought this coop today and have to wait till Sunday to go pick it up thank you for the video it’s really cute and looks like it will serve it’s purpose. New chicken mom here there are so many to choose from and they are not cheap price wise. This one was the right size and price for my budget so than you for the video! I’m excited to get it put together!!
Thank you! The directions are not the best and this was helpful. Yours looks so much nicer than what we received- splintered and warped wood.
I our purchased this coop. Not bad but the main door kinda warped a bit. The roof is a bit hard to install they could’ve put some braces mid way and the top metal pieces hole done really line up to good with the ridges of the roofing panels. I also painted the whole coop a different color to help change the color and protect the wood a little more
the instruction got wet we cant find any online wish us luck lol
Your video was quite helpful. Thank you!
Well…. I’m about to put 3 of these together so I can separate my silkies. Because the wood is so dry, and I’m in a low humidity area, I’m going to paint and seal the pieces before putting it together. Otherwise it won’t last more than a year where I live. 😞 wish me luck…. A LOT of luck. 😂 thanks for the video. 🙏
Good idea, we had our one up about a week and it saw some rain, paint started flaking off right away. I will be painting this weekend
Thanks for the video. Did you make a video on how you attached it to the run?
I did not, I just placed it as close as I could to the chicken wire, then stapled the wire to the coop around the door, and cut the wire out. I might do a follow up video this weekend.
Your video helped me a lot, especially the part about the part/board that goes over the nesting boxes where the nesting boxes roof panels are attached to. . My kit came with that part, but no part # and no explaintion. You saved the day! :) Thanks! (We assembled this coop today Seems like the creators would provide a video on assembling this.... ugh)
Glad my video helped. I enjoy passing on the information when I can
Would it be enough room for 5 chickens.
Plenty of room for 5.
ok thanks
I need 4 of those t-handle latches. Mine was missing all of them.
Good job getting it sorted. I’m about do something similar in my TJ. Been running a portable diesel heater the last couple years and it’s been great but time to get a permanent setup going👍
Thanks, it is working out really well
It's beautiful. I have a snap and lock coop now but I just hatched 18 chicks. 😊 I think I want this.
We have been very happy with it.
Thank you for posting this!
They claim 18, I think it will depend on the size of the chickens. I currently have 6 but we will add about 10 more and see how it goes. I will be refurbishing the old coop so can move some if it gets too crowded.
I have about 10 total, do you think they would fit comfortably? Thank you so much ❤
@@melindaabreu6329 I plan on adding 10 this year so we will have 16, all different sizes and I think they will have plenty of room. My daughter says it would easily hold 18. I think the coop has about 17 feet of roosting bar plus 4 nesting boxes so that should be plenty
Thank you so much! Best video I’ve seen on this product
Great video! Been looking to get one myself from tractor supply. How many chickens would you say this coop holds? Great job!
Nice to see Honda making an appearance still Safe Boats and Jet Drives are what's been working in case of Yamaha Boats for *DECADES* now needs noting.
Keep at it man. You’ve taken on a challenging project. The payoff will be great. You’ve taught me something!
Thanks, looking forward to finishing it
how much for a boat like this ?
I got mine last August for about 86k, they had a similar one at the Seattle boat show for 105k. Really depends on all the options you select
That Boulton was pretty nice.....but at the same time I also own a Boulton (Seamaster). My friend bought that 220 Ocean Pro. Tried to have him look at other boats but it looks like he was deadset on buying that Ocean Pro.
The Boulton was a great boat for the price. Too rich for me. I hope your friend enjoys his 220
@@rhapsodyfishing4120Agreed, it is a great boat but even if I had the money, it is not a boat I would use. I like having free access to the bow to do other things like fishing off the bow.
Congrats on the New boat. Really glad that Thunder Jet finally put a full floatation box under the offshore bracket. Looking forward to seeing a on the water video on this beautiful new boat.
Thanks, I was told TJ added a new hull designer to the team and I think it shows with the newer models. One piece hull, no welded add on's.
Great vid {apart from camera angle-)....happy eating!
