Stel dat je een ringdijk (van beton bv) maakt in de Noordzee van 50 meter hoog (of hoger) en 10 km in diameter (of groter) Op de dijk staan windmolens ( ook in het stuwmeer zelf, de ruimtes daartussen opvullen met drijvende zonnepanelen) die direct stroom kunnen leveren, maar ook een pomp kunnen aandrijven die het kunstmatige stuwmeer kan vullen als er weinig vraag is naar stroom, of juist (te)veel aanbod is van (wind)energie, waardoor overcapaciteit van het net dreigt. Door middel van "witte steenkool" kan men dan ook over stroom beschikken bij weinig wind. Technisch zou het kunnen, geen idee wat het kost en of het financieel rendabel is. Maar wind en zon ( Noordzee heeft veel wind en ook veel zon) en witte steenkool is waar we verder mee willen. Het zou in ieder geval wel de hoogste opbrengst aan schone energie opleveren per vierkante meter. Feedback mag,. Is dit idee onrealistisch?

This is exactly what my country Australia needs. It cost us to much to build normal rail over long distances along with roads, planes and shipping. This system could be phased in fast on pre-existing rail routes and gradually follow main commuter and freight routes. This would lower maintance cost and lower dependence on oil and clean our air. Well done to the Dutch.
