@SUVReviewed-24 Just FYI, I like the car and like Honda. I just wish the dealership I purchased the HRV from was transparent about this known recall for the 2024 and early 2925 HRV models. As I understand, later 2025 models have been corrected? However I would check first before purchasing; mine is listed as a 2025 model built in Mexico around early summer of 2024 when the EPS issue was known. It's also a known issue with the Civics, and there is a class action lawsuit against Honda for this issue.

@@AD-zy4qw I agree, most Honda models are great and reliable. But I don't know why some dealers have to be dodgy. I've had my run-ins with a number of them in the past. Anyways, have you talked to them about the situation?

@SUVReviewed-24 yes, and I have not heard back from their service manager. However, I called another dealership, and they responded quickly and in a professional manner. They explained the issue and what I could expect if the power steering failed. They also scheduled me for repair in January 2025. Evidently, parts are trickling in from Honda Motor Co., and this is another issue that many customers are complaining about--Honda is aware but slow to provide the parts required.

I'm glad that you got help eventually, and once again, thanks for keeping us posted.

I have a 2017 KIA SORENTO, my two daughters each have a 2019 HYUNDAI HIGHLANDER and 2018 HYUNDAI HIGHLANDER . They have not let us down. All three are the DIESEL variants. At one stage, one daughter had a 2017 RANGE ROVER and the other a VOLVO XC 90. Reliability and maintenance costs became an issue so the opted for the HYUNDAI. I went for the SORENTO purely based on research, talking to owners and my local mechanic. My wife had an old TOYOTA RAV 4 and loved it. All horses for courses.

@@SUVReviewed-24 Always horses for courses. Car makers have good and bad vehicles in their lineup. No one car maker has the best line-up, they generally have some good and some bad products.
