Victor Newman is the man. He will set the straight. Jack Abbot hides behind Jill like a scared puke. He has to have her fight his battles and he still loses.
Compare this to the way Y&R is dragging... Er... handling their business stories in 2023. I don't know a damn thing about business but was emotionally invested all the way through. Stellar work!
Oh but he was! 😂. Remember when he, Keith Dennison, Jack & Jill had the meeting and Victor had a Black Book and he kept throwing it up and down over and over. Their Product bombed (although we didn't know what it was) while the competition was singing all the way to the Bank. I'm sure that Dennison Vanguard was a Company alot of competitors were happy not to have.
@@scootover7 Amen! Also when Michael got a posthumous Soap Opera Digest Award, he as well as David Canary (Ex Adam/Stuart Chandler) stood and paid homage to him. They knew that in his own way they were riding on Michael's Shoulders. I always laugh at the words Victor uses, "Incredulous", "Temerity". I'd be there hearing him yell, but also have a dictionary open to try and figure out what he was saying. Plus insert *Storm Troopers running away from the room* for any secretary walking by the room to deliver papers....like "I'll come back later" lol
I used to have to break out my dictionary too, but I credit Victor for helping me to build my vocabulary when I was in high school. I’m a bit more erudite as a direct result of watching Y&R!
Yes. Another Catch Phrase was Erica Davidson on Prisoner Cell Block H (later remade as Wentworth), where she would always say "Come In" to anyone most notably The Guards. Then Peggy Mitchell would scream "Get Out Of My Pub!" Dennison Vanguard was a disaster especially when the product that they marketed tanked.
@@personaldove He had no interest in Dennison/Vanguard from the get go he made it clear but Jack didn't listen. Also it was a professional embarassment because it would eventually go bankrupt.
Yes! he owned dennison vanguard and he agreed to sell it under the newman umbrella. victor "said" he didn't want any part of the company but jack and jill still went and did it. takecovers and sales are trully bonechilling. in 1987 berry gordy sold motown to polydor for 88 million who in turn sold it to mca/universal for 300 million. that means any motown records from back in the day have to go through mca/universal that owns nbc, and bravo as well.
Unbeknownst to Victor, his son Nick, who had begun training as an executive at Newman Enterprises had worked on the Dennison Vanguard acquisition deal. Nick experienced the full brunt of Victor’s ruthlessness when Victor found out that Nick was involved in the acquisition. Victor bellowed at Nick, and made it perfectly clear that NE was HIS company and no one, not even his own son has the right to negotiate business deals behind Victor’s back. Yes, it still does. They dropped the ball for awhile. Now there's Jabot, who are affiliated with Fenmore's, Brash & Sassy, GC Buzz. I know that Vicor is going to go ballistic when he finds out what Abby did buying the Warehouse for The Computer Start Ups. It's not going to work. I just know it.
Oh Gee Whiz. Thanks! I have a feeling that Chloe is going to spend the rest of her life in Prison, Kevin will be banished to another Country, and he will discover that Billy Abbott is Bella's Father and not Kevin. Abby is such a Whiner. I sometimes feel she doesn't measure up because of how she was born. Having Ashley steal Victor's Sperm and putting it inside her to make up for the Baby she aborted back in the day.
Yep. In comparison to Guiding Light, you actually see people working. Even The "Extras" looked Glamorous and Sophisticated. Spaulding was once a powerhouse as was Lewis Oil/Construction but it became a shell of it's former self. Even when Spaulding acquired Lewis Oil, you never saw Billy Lewis & Josh Lewis trying to get it back.
Yeah, Victor is Gangsta! Did you ever see the Scene where he screams at Jack, Jill and Keith Dennison over a product that tanked while a Competing Company made bank on the Similar product. He picked up and threw down that Black Book over and over again.
HE DONT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THAT COMPANY LOVE THAT BACKGROUND MUSIC 😂😂😂❤
More like Jack and Jill went up the hill
lol
Eric Braden is still sexy as old as he is now
Victor was great here. Had me shook lol. This was early 1997.
Oooh Vintage Victor
U thought wrong!
Victor had me shook 😂😂
Joan on Mad Men said the same thing about folding their tents when they were ogling scarlett.
I bet Jill and Jack went to change underwear after this argument.

When you see the first sign of Victor Newman's explosive anger, thats when you know its time to run
