Look how badly the insulation is just stuffed into the stud pockets. Looks like some kindergarten class was told to stuff it in there. Might as well not be there.

It would work better if they were like 2 ft of the slab and actually level when tied..it would allow more room for the finishing of the slab to be easier and they might even be perfectly straight just something to think on

It’s supposed to stop air flow, that’s the correct answer to why. Also yes fire caulking is reddish in color.

When he said there's a simpler and cheaper option.I knew the comment section was gonna be all over this guy.😅. They would rather use old outdated technology Because they assume it's more expensive rather than what's actually code today... Always trying to tear somebody down whether they know your information is right or wrong

1 for those claiming that is not fire foam, yes AND no, fire foam is stained orange BUT it is exactly the same as standard sprayfoam just dyed. 2 I LOVE watching this guy explain stuff he does not really understand, he probably owns the company or is owners stupid brother in law or nephew otherwise his ass would have been fired when that first video went up when they absolutely butchered that outside wall they stacked 8 2x4 on because they didnt know how to use a tape measure, completely throwing the concept of reduced thermal bridging out the window. Also all the fire foam does is reduces open air flow to reduce the speed of fire spreading, simple and if it buys you 30 seconds of fire spread could save a life.
