Not intentional. It happens with music creators when taking on multiple projects at once, the unique patterns of thought which present themselves TO the composer will often 'seep' over into secondary and tertiary works. To wit, Michael Giacchino composed 3 films at once...Dr. Strange, Rogue One, and Spider-Man: Homecoming. If you listen to them, you'll hear hints of each one in the other. This also happens sometimes with visual creatives working on multiple graphics projects even if not similarly themed. With Giacchino it might have been sheer laziness, or at the least, having 'bitten off' more than he could chew at once. But Zimmer can't be described in such a way.
