This is the first time I've heard of this chap. His mind is really sharp. I am very traditional in my faith, but I attend the Novus Ordo. I have a good priest and the liturgy is reverent. I realize that is not the situation everywhere. I love the line, "Apostasy is not justification for leaving the Church". SSPX is in schism and not in full communion with the Church (JPII, Ecclesia Dei; BXVI, Ecclesiae Unitatem; and Francis, Traditiones Custodes). Read these following full quotations. 1. About the SSPX faculty to officiate in Catholic weddings (Letter from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith dated March 27, 2017). It states that with the diocese’s permission, an SSPX priest may officiate in a Catholic wedding but only if there is no diocesan or religious priest available, and the documents must be forwarded to the diocesan curia. It should be remembered, too, that in the sacrament of matrimony, the ministers are the couple themselves. A priest is only there to witness for the Church and receive the couple’s consent. Other than those limited faculties, the sacraments of the SSPX, although valid, are not recognized by the Church because, as Pope Benedict XVI writes, the Society has no canonical status and no legitimate ministry in the Church. 8. Many people, including bishops, who say SSPX is not in schism or has reconciled with the Church, should be able to produce a document similar to Pope John Paul II’s letter welcoming the SSPX in Campos, Brazil (now the Union of St. John Mary Vianney) into the fold, otherwise they should not be believed. In my humble, non-theologian perspective, we are potentially witnessing the early stages of the Great Apostasy as predicted by St. Paul in Second Thessalonians. Though, to be fair, the opening salvo occurred in 1965.

My husband and I are both near 70. We are moving to Coeur d’Alene so we can attend Latin Mass in our last days. It’s not only youngsters who are excited about the future of the Church, the TLM, traditionalism. Please don’t put down all old people. It’s very discouraging because we are not dead yet and we think the same as you younger folks when it comes to our beloved Mother Church. I remember thinking there was something very wrong when I was seven and saw what was happening at Mass. I always rejected the new rite even as a small child.

Thank you, John, for this clear account on this satanic Society, pretending to be still in union with the Pope in Rome.but actually not. They have been doing this shameful act for 40 years and its far too long and without any single member to have cooperated with God's grace and return because they can not stand on their own without the Church. Their excommunication is not an issue with them in arrogance, and satan is so happy with them getting against Christ's Church.

Really great to see a thriving monastic community of nuns. Nothing but desolate, demolished , repurposed convents all over the U.K. I remember our local convent being closed and the nuns dispatched to a crummy flat in little grey skirts, glorified social workers. The recently build convent became a library and the little inner garden my father developed and maintained, trashed. From that convent nuns gave a huge amount to our community and their vocation. That was many years ago, they are scattered now.

I’m wondering what the significance of the satanic enthronement in 1963 on the Feasts of Sts. Peter and Paul had to do with being held on that feast day and pertaining to what you said about Sts. Peter and Paul’s martyrdoms in relation to Catholic Rome. Sorry if my thought is not entirely coherent.

I have no idea how this made it into my UA-cam feed. I am a very lapsed Catholic, so most of this intra- (or perhaps inter-?) religious warfare is beyond me, but I ended up listening to it in its entirety anyway. I just have to say that from one lawyer to another this guy put on a f’ing master class in how to prepare and present an argument. Not only the larger arguments, but the precise citations to various authorities and the demeanor he had while doing it 🤌 I’d hire him to argue my appellate case any day of the week, and twice on Sundays…😉 Also, again, while not what anyone would call a particularly “devout” Catholic, some of these SSPX apologists seem little better than Protestants. Seems fairly clear to me that if you’re going to call yourself a Catholic you have to realize that “getting in line” in terms of recognizing hierarchy and the authority that flows within that hierarchy is part of the deal. If not, there are other churches you can join. Seems like one of those things where in 100 years we’ll look back and see it was really a permanent schism/split but it took a while to recognize it (apologies if I am using the incorrect terminology).

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass offered by Archbishop Lefebrve is the Mass Padre Pio offered, the Mass beloved by St. Therese of Lisieux, the Mass offered in Lepanto while the battle raged and the Mass which countless Saints before Vatican II held as their Sacrament. The magesterium and tradition can be traced back to the apostles. It is not an innovation. It is a living continuation of the true deposit of faith. When Archbishop Lefebrve sought permission for ordination of bishops from the Holy See that was not an act of schism. He was promised that a date would be chosen in the future for those ordinations. Freemasons and modernists in the Vatican blocked that step. Thank God that Lefebrve acted to preserve the Mass of the ages! He deserves sainthood for his courage in the face of evil. The diluted, Protestantized Novus Order mass which disrespects the Body and Blood of our Lord has shown us its worth by its fruits. The pews emptied and the belief in the True Presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist withered since Vatican II. Now pachamama idols adorn the altars. It is the smoke of satan and not the incense of prayers which fills the Novus Order churches. If canon law is accurately and fully applied this presentation would fall apart on legal grounds alone. The fact that the presenter selectively chose and twisted canon laws to make a slick and compelling argument shows his true colors and affiliations. Those who follow the father of lies often take this spproach. Saul Alinsky too would be proud. You can keep the idols and the heresy normalizing sins! Look at who is promoted in the Vatican. Look at the latest Synod. I am blessed to have access to an SSPX church near me. The graces I receive are palpable. Prayer begets what it signifies. The TLM is simply stronger and more complete in content. Commmunion on the tongue is reverent. Even the sacramental blessing is more robust; the graces which flow from those sacramentals bear witness to the efficacy of the blessings. I pray for the Pope and the entire Roman Catholic Church. I pray for those who don't have an SSPX in their vicinity. The gates of hell cannot prevail against the Church. When the smoke clears the SSPX will be there to carry on as the rest of the church returns to true faith. As for the video consider the source and the method of his argument.

There is no room for division in the church over how the mass is spoken in celebration...We need to be grateful for every soul who praises God in whichever language moves their heart the most. I am not saying the pope is "wrong" I am saying the pope can be grateful for all beautiful celebrations of the mass and for those who attend in the same way that we are grateful we have our pope as leader which is also a tradition. Love for tradition is what causes us to also love our pope. I pray,Jesus will help our holy Father embrace historical expressions of love by knowing that being pope is also part of historical continuity. Do not condemn him..pray for his perfect insight. Now that Benedict has gone to heaven...Frances IS pope.
