The episode with Purplish almost makes up for the other one. Almost. "Let's Play with Homework" is just a bad rehash of "Let's Play Bad Student" from the previous season, minus anything that made it funny, plus Pretty having too much undeserved screen time that should have been used for other characters. You're telling me that Mr. Cat could take the time to teach Stumpy quantum physics in season 4 but now he can't even bother to teach him long division? They really ought to stop making characters OOC to make Pretty look good.

Purplish is adorable. “Let’s Play with Purplish” is a well-animated and creative episode. Pretty is annoying, a Mary Sue, and keeps taking up time that could be used to show other characters. “Let’s Play with Homework” is a prime example of this, where little miss perfect is the one to find the solution to Stumpy’s problems and then takes over the entire episode. If we ever get another Kaeloo season I want her gone.

I love Purplish, she’s so cute and funny! Shame about the second episode though, Pretty ruined it as usual. Maybe I can use it as a sleep aid on days when I’m having trouble sleeping though!

wow Stumpy's voice actor is SO GOOD! He really shines when it's just him, but that could just be me having trouble with s5's writing. Still, amazing job! I love the second episode, I just wish it was less of a rehash from s4.

Fun fact: at 12:25 when Kaeloo says the word “soulmates”, if you look closely she and Mr. Cat start holding hands. In the original dub, the dialogue spoken here was “love is beautiful”. I love these two. Also we stan Lavenblah in this household!

Moldie's episode seems to have changed quite a bit. Moldie no longer jokes about Kaeloo being overweight, Stumpy acknowledges that Moldie is a rude person, and Moldie's age has gone from "less than 6" to just "kid". The "kid" part doesn't even make any sense, if the game isn't appropriate for kids then why is Game Rule letting the rest of the main four play it? They're all children, and Stumpy in particular is 10.

Well at least Moldie isn't insulting Kaeloo by calling her fat anymore...

Mr. Cat being malicious? Stumpy being an idiot? KAELOO AND BAD K'S CONVERSATION??? What a great episode! (Minus the part with Pretty's whining over the guy she SAed rejecting her, but at least she was only there for a few seconds). This is one of the best episodes of season 5 in my opinion.

That scene with Kaeloo and Bad K was incredible! I really wish Bad K got more screen time this season, he deserves it. I'd say this episode is overall a great episode (aside from Pretty complaining about her victim rejecting her stalking and harassment, but at least her screen time this episode was minimal). I love how you can see remnants of the show's classic S1-4 dark humor in some parts of the episode, like the part where all the background characters start committing scooter ankle. It's episodes like this that show you what a great villain Mr. Cat can be when the plot calls for it.

Overall a great and funny episode! I really loved the scene with Kaeloo and Bad K in their inner world, that makes this episode one of the best from this season. Mr. Cat’s paranoia and fear of change is showcased in an excellent manner while being worked into the episode in a normal way as part of one of his usual schemes. This feels like a good old classic Kaeloo episode with Mr. Cat scheming away and Kaeloo trying to stop the madness he’s causing. And as always Pretty is annoying, she’s acting like her heart is broken because she realized that she no longer felt anything for the person SHE CHOSE TO SA. It’s not like Mr. Cat ever had feelings for her. What is she whining about?

OH I LOVE HOW YOU TRANSLATED THE INNER WORLD DIALOGUE!! It remains true to the original, maybe not 100%, but still excellent!! Thank you for not shying away from it!

Never thought I'd say it. This episode threw things around, FUCK SAKE I FINALLY FOUND A POOR EPISODE. ASS.

Remember how happy we all were when season 4 came out and "Let's Play Multibirthday" happened? That powerful episode between the main four? Mr. Cat comforting Kaeloo while she cried, and doing his best to make her happy? Kaeloo kissing Mr. Cat? The episode the fans went wild over? I never would have believed that the same writer who gave us this gem of an episode would then go on to write a god-awful episode where Kaeloo, the closest person to Mr. Cat, betrays Mr. Cat in an extremely out-of-character way and Mr. Cat is rescued by Pretty the person who "seggsually" assaulted him multiple times. Agnes Slimovici really went from writing the best episode of season 4 to writing the worst one of season 5 (unless you count "Let's Play Personality Test", though that was ALSO written by her).

All I can say is "Run Rumor Run" deserved all the backlash it got from fans when it aired.

It is beyond me why any writer would think that it's a good idea to make an episode where Mr. Cat's trust is betrayed by Kaeloo, his best friend and love interest whom he's been with for several years, and have the situation be rectified thanks to Pretty - who stalked, harassed, and even SAed Mr. Cat for three seasons - sympathizing with him. At least the episode with the sisters was cute (except the parts where Pretty was on screen)

Whoever runs this account is a genius for pairing “Run Rumor Run”, an episode that garnered significant backlash from the fandom and was deemed the worst of the season by many, with “Tell All”, an episode with the names of all of Stumpy’s sisters (a thing people have been begging for in the comments)

Finally, names for all the sisters! The first episode is really disappointing. It feels like Kaeloo is deliberately written to be OOC so that Pretty can be made to look good. Another reason why Pretty sucks. The second episode is really powerful. I love Stumpy and his sisters, and I’m happy to learn Stumpy’s backstory after all this time. I still don’t understand why Pretty had to be in it, seeing her face really takes the joy out of the episode.

man this dub is gen so good! The VAs really help the pacing and acting for this season. Much appreciated. Again, id really like it if comments could be disabled.

I don't know if Pretty being such a bad character has lowered my standards or what but Game Rule really isn't as annoying as folks make her out to be! She's quite humorous in a lot of the episodes, especially this one.
