My parents divorced when I was 12, the year The VIrginian came to TV. Every week for years, I sat and watched this wonderful show, and God, YES God, helped a little girl each week forget she had been abandoned bringing some healing to her heart. To this day, I thank my Heavenly Father for the entire cast, who became a family for me during a traumatic time in my life. I hope and pray to meet each of them one day, God willing, in heaven.

The war scenes are from his autobiography a movie called To Hell and Back, it will break your, heart. He was too young so his sister Nadine added 3 years to his birth certificate, he was 16 . His age is not correct on his tomb stone according to his sister. He died in a plane crash next to my grandparents farm, in Cataba, Va. May 28 1971

Audie Murphy. A hard early life. Stood only 5ft 5 inches tall. Between the ages of 18 & 19 he won more awards for bravery and valour, wounded often, than any other combat veteran in all American history. Fickled fate killed him much too young. He deserved more from kinder gods. Proof 'Mark Twain' was absolutely right when he wrote "No good turn ever goes unpunished" Audie, where ever you are, this fellow, and any readers of this message to this point, hold your good now old soul in high regard.
