Better to wear hiking boots for this trail. This trail is quite rocky and uneven, hiking boots helps to protect your ankle. Just in case it rains, hiking boots are waterproof as well. However… we did spot a local uncle climbing up and down barefoot… haha…

It took us a few hours to get used to it. No tips and tricks, just whack it 😅

Parking is free almost everywhere and we didnt face any issues with parking. Some parking slots are designed slanted but we didnt find it an issue either. Back then my partner just recieve his license for about two weeks so I am sure you will be fine too! We rented the car for about 1.5 weeks.

Btw, just note that the u-turn is before the stop line!

It wasnt difficult to drive on the left! You will get used to it after a few turns in the city. Just note that the u-turn is before the stop line!

I think Gwaneumsa Trail is the hardest trail!

We were really new driver in fact my boyfriend only got his license 2 weeks prior to the trip! Just drive slow and safe! Drivers at Jeju are quite chill and nice! Remember to on your hazard lights when the weather gets foggy! Some mountainous areas have no street lights (just reflective boards) so do on your hazard lights and drive slow at night too :)
