buddy cannot spell hinge lmao
I am following along in the book while watching this video and I don't understand why'd u scaled your dimensions down at the end?
Do you have a time stamp?
Nevermind, I just watched. The dimensions in the textbook are diameters, because I only sketched half mine are the radius (1/2 Diameter)
Thank you shane, your videos have helped me tremendously for my class.
I'm glad you found good use of these!
Your a 😂😂😂😊😊
thank you! It helped me a lot!
Shane thank you so much for this
Good luck this semester!
mr shane jamerson helping out engineering students for years to come.
I'm just happy that it is still being used after all these years.
@@shanejamerson8281 may you continue to have a lasting impact on us students
Am i the only one seeing the notification at 0.40 seconds, lol.. thank you for these lifesaver video
The "recording has started" notification? All of these videos were recorded using the Nvidia Geforce Experience desktop recorder and at the time of recording that notification would always pop up.
I'm just here for 2:55 thx 10/10
Shane, thank you so much.
Good luck on your semester!
Talk man wtf
chill
Gotta vibe dude
how did you get rid of the over defined part when adding the 9 inch parameter?
no one found a solution to this yet?
@@johannisbrown3940 to get rid of the over defined part I found out if you highlight one of the corners then click on the line you will get a pop up, find toggle suppression and it should fix it
@@johannisbrown3940 I found out in solidworks 2024 that if you press the warning sign where it says overdefined a menu would pop up and then you can automatically or manually fix your problem
Again, thank you so much. Your work is greatly appreciated.
I cannot tell you how greatful I am for your videos. Thank you.
Best of luck to you!
Life saver
These videos are a great resource! thank you!
Why put the head on both sides? The book doesn't do that and it makes zero sense.
Thank you so much for your videos. These saved my semester
I'm glad they are able to help so many people!
Very helpful thank you!!!
pls crop the video when you make mistakes
i love you <3
Thank you for everything you do. You are doing a great service to all of us! <3
Current time: 4:33 am you are a god/goddess
Best of luck to you!
thank you for posting this.
is there a part 1

You sir are a God-tier human being. Thank you for what you contribute to the world
Absolute legend. Thank you for teaching me the things the textbook failed to!
I was unable to drag the circle up the line
How did you move the plane away after trimming the parts at 1:34?
I clicked the top plane (the same plane I used to create my first sketch) in the feature manager tree, then created a reference plane at a distance identified by the book.
Thank you for sharing, A voice-over explaining what you're doing would be good
This video will help but it is not correct for a later versions of the book anymore, read the problem first adjust accordingly
Thank you Shane!
shane plz upload chapter 9 problem solution
For some reason when i'm doing smart dimensions at 2:25 its asking do I want to make the dimension driven
First
so glad I got here early
hey shane I just wanna say thanks your tutorials really helped me through some college classes I appreciate it
You forgot to do the fillet. Otherwise good video.
The fillet should be a .25 inch fillet around the neck of the bottle. This will make the inside of the shell have a volume of 1.27 inch^3 and the total volume of the bottle will be 42.25 inch^3. Putting these into the formula; 42.25 inch^3- 1.27inch^3= 40.98inch^3 = V (internal).
Good job, thanks for that....
stupid people.... stupid videos...
Joseph Huber more like a terrible teacher who does nothing but talk the entire class and waste everyone's time. amiright
being a hater is lame
Use "Tab" to change xy to yz plane. Thank me later :p
thanks
The inner diameter of the tall part is supposed to be different for each configuration
You are correct, this is shown in the drawing but not represented in the table. When I review this problem in class, we complete it based on the example drawing instead of the design table.
brilliant. Is there a way fo exporting the finished "simulation" as a new STL or body? i'm trying to 3dprint something that has been "engraved" like this (but i dont own an engraver)
I have not found a good way to "engrave" into the solid model, only generate the tool paths based on a 2D sketch. If you find something that I missed, please pass on the information!
@@shanejamerson8281 thanks will do
You didn’t rotate your original sketch of the hexagon, the handle should be drawn perpendicular to one smooth surface instead of at the edge of two surfaces.
Why are you making the first sketch of the circle 1.75 from the top and 1.75 from the side? How do you determine these measurements when the drawing doesn’t even indicate them straightforwardly??
The drawing gives those measurements by giving all the other measurements required. If the drawing gives every measurement explicitly, it would technically be over defined as all tolerances could not be held correctly. It can be assumed that in this case the array needs to be centered within the baking sheet. Overall Height - 14.00" Typical Spacing - 3.50" Leftover space 14.00 - (3.50 * 3) = 3.50 Equal distance on either side 3.50 / 2 = 1.75 Overall Width - 10.50" Typical Spacing - 3.50" Leftover space 10.50 - (3.50 * 2) = 3.50 Equal distance on either side 3.50 / 2 = 1.75
WAY TOO FAST! USELESS!
click on settings and change the speed of playback
garbage video. you didn't explain shit. congratulations. you wasted both of our time.

What was the popup you used at one point that displayed the various sketch shapes?
I dont have excel and the assignment requires that I insert a data table, I only have the online version, what do I do?
I did it exactly the same on my computer but it says It cant do that...
