I swear this is the worse basketball court in the nation for viewers to watch a basketball game! The lighting is bad and the silhouette of trees on the court is so distracting!

There are two alpha chicks on UConn's team: Caroline Ducharme & Azzi Fudd. They could both run this team and the girls would follow them. Paige Bueckers is an A++ talent who dishes off the ball. The team that graduated Kristin, Evina, & Nelson never accepted Paige's vision. In fact, they were overly dependent on Paige. Paige wants to pass to Azzi, but Caroline is the workhorse Paige needs to excel. Actually, two backcourts: Paige & Caroline and Azzi & Nikki would work well if they were swapped out.

Caroline Ducharme is a legit, D1, starting guard, but so are Paige Bueckers, Azzi Fudd and Lou Lopez. Nikki Muehl is a defense guard who has made herself into an assist guard who shoots occasionally. That's five guards. Gino's history is to play only two, but Azzi & Paige have histories of game missing injuries. Whatever else Gino does, he better find a way to give all five playing time or Ducharme will transfer out. She's way too good to gather splinters in her butt while watching Paige and Azzi average 50 ppg. Lopez is only there if Paige, Azzi, or Caroline go lame. That said, it sure is nice to have five D1 level starters to choose from. Maybe, if Geno wasn't so dumb, he could start Paige & Azzi, and then, bring in Lopez and Ducharme, or vice-versa. Muehl would be glued to the oppositions best shooting guard. On the other hand, one man, even an Italian man, keep five women happy? No way. Look for Ducharme to enter the transfer portal after Geno wastes her sophomore year. Muehl might leave too. If she ever developed a mid-range floater, she'd start on any D-1 team because she's become a good passer & she will get better. Yo, Nika, try the floater & the jump hook. Exhale before you shoot.

UConn has three, potential All America guards: Paige, Azzi, & Caroline. Their fourth guard, Nikki Muehl, is a 1st team, all conference defense guard. I hope Gino is smart enough to distribute playing time among them. Another way of saying that is, Gino, don't just start Paige and Azzi, and then, tell your assistant coach to "Wake me when it's over."

I love Caroline's game so versatile and she has a great competive motor, her Paige & Azzi is the future 3-some and Gabriel needs to get more PT!!

DeBerry needs more playing time, but coach provided a hint as to maybe why she hasn’t seen more to this point. She really looked poised out there and played like a regular. Very impressive!
