Those left/right/slam/pizza attacks don't really do anything, they don't knock you (just damage a bit but you can just facetank them). In phase 1 and 2 I am providing aegis either for slam or pizza because they hurt the most, but if you don't aegis you can just outheal them. The only thing that you have to stab/aegis is the big jump (like at 3:44 - you can see I place stone spirit for aegis for this attack) and winds during arrows (stab).

Was answered in other comment, to dash/leap trough the lasers 🙀 as you can get locked out/in of the Boss making it impossible to walk behind pylon / back to stack unless you go get behind the lazer wall and you can't dodge trough. learned the hard way and got pinballed between the lazer to downstate 🤣 I do kiting on Heal Cata (tough it is triple heal for us because skill level)

to keep things sharp when you inevitably bring up heal chrono again

@@13thforswarn it's the issue on other fights too if you play on low settings (used to play on a laptop with everything on lowest...), so it's important to set character model limit to medium - if you keep it on low then some mechanics will not load (like walls on sh in w5, aoes on matthias in w2, etc)

Yeah, dunno if people really believe this is a raid wing, it's just 3 strike bosses (reused story bosses) in a single instance, with some Glenna dialogue at the start.

@@whitekhan25 here i'm on my high toughness set (2.3k) but that's just because it's the first run - might not need toughness at all (still have to test around)

We used distort to run through the ball

I was told they can be reflected or absorbed or destroyed (as the other comment says - our mesmers used distortion to run through them and delete them)

@@lechosex6588 just dont use ventari bubble for boss orbs - orbs reflected with feedback go back to the boss and deal insane damage to it, it's free dps

honestly I don't mind, it's been so long since we got any raids that ~5 min fight sounds much better than 1 minute encounters like for example cairn (although I might change my mind after a couple of w1-8 fullclears 😆)

There would be nothing wrong with short fights if not for the fact that instead of 40 we got one wing after 5 years 🥲

@@UA-camChillZone I'm not saying short fights, but this is 7 mins with very high dps uptime and these guys are absolutely doing significantly more damage than your average group. Pugs are likely going to be taking at least 10 mins to clear this boss. And this is NM

@@CatarinaStone Tbf they nerfed the boss hp by 13 million after we killed it, so it should be faster now

@@UA-camChillZone if this raid gets a lot of attention and replay value in their metrics i'm sure they will do more.

I don't think there is any written/video guide yet, but in summary: - the furthest person gets orange/red arrow mechanic (if arrow is red, you have to hide behind the conduit or you die) - we made 1 druid a dedicated kiter of that mechanic. You want to avoid aiming those arrows on conduits to not add more charges to them (the more charges they have, the more people are needed for greens that they spawn later) - from 2nd phase 5 furthest people get numbered arrows mechanics (arrows can be stacked and outhealed) - once you get an arrow, you get a debuff which makes you take more damage from green circles, so we decided that our ranged group will not touch greens at all - from 2nd phase 5 closest get orange circles - we decided that those people will also be responsible for greens (since they have no debuff from arrows) and green arrow mechanic (where you need 5 people to stand in 1 big green arrow to avoid getting exposed buff)

yeah, I guess they made it that way cause it's the only one that will have legendary mode later on, but in normal mode it feels disappointing compared to the other 2

Personally for me it's better because the previous two are quite intense, especially the one with the lightning.

They are hp heavy - this boss had 83 million hp (but it already got shadow nerfed by 13), first boss has 47m (94m together with adds), last one has 61m. For comparison, dhuum in cm has 40m.

@@pureambience1714 any raid boss in general? There are already some solo and 2man kills on some of those (obviously not possibile whenever you need multiple people doing mechanics, like pylons at qadim). I've done some 5man wings in raid league competition (vod is somewhere on my channel), few 4mans and recently a 3man sloth. Lowmanning is very fun as you get to see mechanics which you never see in a 10man kill these days
