*Day 1: Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental*
We kicked off our Northern Mindanao adventure in Cagayan de Oro, a highly urbanized city in Misamis Oriental. Our first thrilling experience was white water rafting, a must-try activity in CDO.
*White Water Rafting Experience*
We booked our rafting adventure with Team CDO Bugsay Whitewater Rafting through Facebook. Opting for the Middle section or Advanced course, we braved 21 major rapids over 3 hours. The Cagayan River offered an exhilarating ride, but we felt safe with the city's experienced guides and safety personnel.
*Accommodation: The Urban Pod Hotel*
Unfortunately, our stay at The Urban Pod Hotel was disappointing. Despite its convenient location in the city center, the water had a unpleasant rusty smell. We wouldn't recommend this hotel.
Overall, Cagayan de Oro provided an unforgettable white water rafting experience. We're excited to explore more of Northern Mindanao!
