Pat Metheny is the great guitarist, Jørn Skogheim has been compared most often to by reviewers. Other critics has also compared Skogheim to greats such as John Mclaughlin and Al Di Meola as only natural. It has also been emphasized, that the guitarist and clarinet player is certainly his own man, covering vast musical ground with his original material. (www.joernskogheim.no)
The Composer and whistler Jørn Skogheim has made seven CDs, where four has been released: "Joy" 2000", "Above Water" 2007, "New Direction" 2010/2011 and "Uncertain Steps To Giant Steps" 2016. All four has got fantastic reviews. The amount of musicians as participants, differs from solo-trio to jazz quartet + string quartet with soloists. Skogheim are the composer on all tunes, except on "Giant Steps".

Askim Chapel is a fantastic concert hall, especially for acoustic instruments, and especially acoustic guitar. The whole room seems like an enormous resonance box. I'm playing all acoustic in this formidable building this evening. Recommend experiencing music in this venue both as an audience member and as a performer. My Iphone is some distance away, in the audience, so there is some background noise. 🙂 Many thanks to Rector Øyvind Lunde and Askim Chapel.
Askim Kapell er et fantastisk konsertlokale, spesielt for akustiske instrumenter, og da især akustisk gitar. Hele lokalet virker som en enorm resonans kasse. Jeg spiller helt akustisk i denne formidable bygningen denne kvelden. Anbefaler å oppleve musikk i dette lokale både som publikummer og utøver. I phonen min står et stykke unna, inne blant publikum, så noe bakgrunnsstøy forekommer. 🙂 Mange takk til Rektor Øyvind Lunde og Askim Kapell.
