A lot of the fanfiction for shadowpeach that involves past wukong and macaque has macaque asking wukong to stay with him on the island but he leaves to journey with his friends and its so sad

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but when Macaque and Wukong are fighting, the lyrics are "song of past romance-" I giggled when I realized It's probably intentional.

I wanted to point this out because I've watched this animatic so many times (LOL) but at 2:10, I like that for a split second Wukong has a muster of a smile on his face. For a moment, he's happy where he is. He remembers when life was peaceful like this. He misses it. But then his smile fades. He remembers that this isn't real. And that these special moments he had with Macaque were gone. But man does he wish that he could go back. </3

Macaque pretty much pushing MK out of the memory of Wukong killing him is wholesome? Am I alone in that?
