Grey Ghosts
United States
Приєднався 4 січ 2024
We have a love of outdoor activities, including trapping, hunting, fishing, and recreation. Hopefully you enjoy our antics and will follow along on our adventures. Our goal is to have fun in the outdoors, educate people about trapping and its benefits, and teach others about managing their resources in a professional, ethical manner. If you disagree with our thoughts or actions, kindly move along. Not everyone can live in the Southeastern United States, and, as a result, can't possibly understand how we live or why we do things the way that we do. We will not tolerate attacks on individual trappers or trapping as a whole. When you have put your feelings aside, have done significant research on the benefits of trapping, and have developed respect for those with whom you disagree, we would love to have you watch our channel videos.
Danny and Brad are both licensed trappers and are proud members of the Mississippi Trappers Association.

Pickwick Dam, Hydroelectric, and Fishing
A drive by Pickwick Dam at the Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama line gives a good view of how a good bit of our electricity is generated. As water moves through the dam and spins the turbines, the tempest produced attracts fish and fishermen alike.

Boat trapping with Dub
Переглядів 3214 днів тому
Dub is a well known trapper from Northwestern AR. I have known him for many years, a former supply dealer and trapper . This video was made a couple of years ago. I thought I had lost it but I found it a couple of days ago. Sorry for the sound distortion.

Trap Check 7 25 24
Переглядів 87Місяць тому
After a quite eventful night, a couple of our traps had been tripped and one was damaged pretty badly. Thankfully we got that one repaired, reset them, and rebaited as necessary. The property owner still saw skunks so we are still on the hunt.
Baby Opossums and a Baby Skunk 7 24 24
Переглядів 170Місяць тому
We (Danny and Brad) are still checking live trap sets where we have caught 2 skunks and 7 raccoons. Today, we had a couple of surprises, a mother opossum with babies (the trap was left open for her to exit on her own terms) and a baby skunk grubbing by a busy street. The skunk was directed across the street and under a nearby building. Hopefully we will catch the skunk tonight in one of our 5 t...

In the heart of a small town's residential area, a skunk is in the trap. After 6 raccoons, we have finally nabbed an elusive skunk. Just like the raccoons, this skunk was relocated and released, thankfully without incident.
Raccoon #6 Catch & Release
Переглядів 296Місяць тому
Having 5 live traps set with many choice baits, we are catching residential raccoons, but we are really after skunks. With the raccoons relocated and released, we are bringing more baits and traps to try again. Finally a skunk catch ua-cam.com/video/N9cDLIWD1Rs/v-deo.html
Raccoon #5 Catch & Release
Переглядів 78Місяць тому
Our traps are producing, just not the targeted species. This catch makes five raccoons but we are still at ought for skunks. We still have four live traps set and after relocating this little guy, will add this one back tomorrow. Eventually we will get all of the raccoons and hopefully start catching skunks. Maria and Chad, my family (Brad), have bee hives and capture bees to build new hives. It amazes me to watch them work. The honey is great as well. Glad to see them save these bees. Video Short on the Bee Vacuum ua-cam.com/users/shortss7AjL7nnXIw

love fishing below the dam . lots of stripers .
funny with that song
@@judithdandavis2206 The lady we are trapping for bought a spray-proof skunk trap. It's about 6"x6"x2'. That dude was folded three times to fit in it and was glad to stretch back out.
strong critter bent the cage trap . must have been a big raccoon .
@@judithdandavis2206 I said it must have been a 30 pounder. The ground was scratched up a bit. Had to be a raccoon, if not a human.
those culverts are hot spots for skunks .
@@judithdandavis2206 There are culverts and several buildings, either abandoned or storage sheds, for them to shelter under. That little dude was bluffing us like crazy, but thankfully never sprayed.
should work great , the raccoons are out of the way now .
@@judithdandavis2206 This client has abandoned houses on both sides of her. Plenty of places for cover and shelter. Hopefully we are moving the critters to a more natural, less congested location.
how are the ants on the sweet baits ? i have lots of trouble with fire ants .
@@judithdandavis2206 will let you know over the next couple of days
cool trick . i have pulled handles off trying to separate them before .
Yes sir. And cracked many buckets.
Nice! 👍
are there any culverts close to the yard ? i find skunks like to stay in them .
Not on this property. We are in the city, so I'm sure there are some on nearby streets.
should work .
nice catch . i have had raccoons in cage traps pull everything they could reach into the trap with them . hope you have some luck on the skunks .
nice work on the bridges .
Thanks. We put them in this past fall. Didn't realize how much water moves through there until we spent a lot of time and energy on that part of the property.
try the banana .
We did on the original set. Gonna take another back when I check them tomorrow. Have mackerel out now.
@@GreyGhostsOutdoorsMS it is hard to keep the flies out of the bait in this heat , good luck .
Got to meet Paul A this weekend 😊
@@dannyphillips9080 he is a great guy , i hope to someday meet him .
I will try and make a copy of the demo he did and get it to you
Brad is doing a super job I stared this job and I went to the FTA convention in Harrisonburg Va. this weekend. We got an inside look at a new trap coming out this winter so stay tune for more information.
good luck on the skunk trapping , banana seems to be a great bait for skunks and doesn't seem appealing to the feral cats in the area .
No need for a watering can in turquoise that comes with the matching gloves, hand shovel, snips, belt, sun-hat and clogs. Well done!
Big Fun!!! 👍👊
I have been late up for the last couple weeks finally got a chance to do a short fishing trip thanks too Brad this was great an safe trip
Assassinos
Your furs were the hit of the show. Thanks so much for letting us borrow them.
glad it went well for you .
you are full of s**t
well put together video .
Thanks. We are getting things together for our table at the upcoming Wild Game Supper at the Corinth Coliseum next Tuesday night. This video will play there, too.
That'd Venus. Not Jupiter.
You are correct. Jupiter was also visible, but it was above the eclipse.
Nice!
Outstanding!
Hey Dan Davis what do you think
great idea on testing and tuning without the need for setters . seldom fails has a lot of great ideas .
Very nice setup. Does anything ever bounce out of your front basket?
I have bungee cords and use the heavy objects to hold things down. I'm currently making a metal replacement that will have a top. Always learning and improving.
they are good eating
I haven't tried one yet, but my nephew caught one and cooked up the leg meat. He ate it but hasn't gone back for seconds yet.
WHY didn't you locate Rattler ? Serms you walked Away from it. ,?? What State are you folks in ?
I just added the sound effect for interest. There was no snake there. We are in northeast Mississippi
Nice, thanks for letting her go
If has grown a lot
thought that this was a cool idea when you made it .
the dive set paralleling the dam will hit . the breaks in the dam will have them inspecting the entire length of it . nice looking sets .
We've got to catch a break and a beaver.
just got back from looking at a small property to set up on beaver .@@GreyGhostsOutdoorsMS
Recently I returned to a small creek I grew up fishing in when I was a teenager. Back then it was filled with water and fish and supported lots of wildlife. The reason being it had several beaver ponds and dams on it. Sadly, now the beaver are gone and the creek is now just a gully with a tiny stream in the bottom not even large enough to support anything. Makes me sad when I remember all the good times my friends and I had hunting and fishing along its banks.
nice interview .
Thank you Mr. Dan
We had a great time today with the 24c membership
Yes we did
much different than our auction . up close and personal .
It wasn't quite as large and yes, it was basically bidding face to face.
I have a question what do you do with the coyote
Sheis very distressed i.n psin ❤
Did he actially release her from the trap or not wierd irs being filmed 😢
You need to conceal your sets
good luck .
with it slightly off bubble it swings better.
I played with it 15 minutes to get it to stay until I touched it, then slowly swing.
you will hammer them with the lure .
Its a puppy
Weighed out as a 43 pound female adult.
If you don’t know what you have a big foot in the background by the tree oh, maybe about 20 feet from you’re not even that size I would say, but they blended so well in the trees you would never know he was there but he is he’s watching you. actually, he’s behind the coyote in the background by the tree there if you look at the screen you see the little arrow on your side like the back button if you have if you have an iPhone at least but it’s to the right of that little back button by the tree there
what time is super? love the wild hog meat . try some beaver meat .
That will be soon on the beaver I hope. We start at a new property tomorrow targeting a beaver problem specifically.
@@GreyGhostsOutdoorsMS the castor mound sets are the way to go now .
I cooked some this morning for breakfast it was very good too no wild taste I fried ours
Glad to hear it was good. I figured it would be. Hog is hog! Thanks
