Beautiful job! I did a Mora #106 Slojd with Maple and a buffalo horn collar. Now I'm doing a wee #120 in Cherry burl and buffalo. Most lately I got ahold of a #3 blade which I will probably get around to before too long.
Awesome please post it thank you!!
Great stuff!!! 🗡️🙏🔥👍
Thank-you!
I appreciate you taking the time to show this. I enjoyed it
@radar468 Thank-you Sir I am going to do how all knives work.
I have seen that used when a broken tip is reshaped and sits high...thanks for the tip and the vid...Jim
Your welcome Sir! thanks for your support!!
Just the video I needed. I picked up a LB 125 to do a cleanup video on. Mine has a little blade wobble I need to address.
Nice!
When you do this, does it change the lie of the backspring in the closed position? I have performed the operation a few times but always forgot to check before and after!
@dongkhamet1351 no the spring is under tension the kick touches the spring still you do this when the tip of the blade is worn down and makes it outside of the knife liners poking out, take a little off at a time. It doesn't ever move the spring it's under to much tension.
@@Kodiak_Edge thanks!
@@dongkhamet1351 You welcome thank You Sir!!

Nice restore.
Thanks!
Dude! A+
Thanks !
I love Marttiini knives. They are way underrated and overlooked here in America. They are much more classy than Mora.
Hey man how are you I was wondering how much do you charge per mod
$100.00 and up plus the cost of the knife new or yours and a $100.00 basic and up depends on detail they can go as high as $350.00 plus the knife unless yours.
I am great thank you!
Nice skills

Okay, budget model Buck 112 slim Ranger. Nylon frame offers a cheap feel and might have something to do with the awkward hangup when deploying the blade one handed. Fits the pocket well, sharp steel edge on delivery, lightweight EDC
both are greeat knives
2 Carbone ..13 Stainless
Dude that’s really cool
@brianbeck6327 Thanks Brian!
That is incredibly done sir , knife porn
I don't think you'd be disappointed add anything that Kodiak knives they are all Top Notch and quality made but the best thing about all of this is that he hand tools all his leather to fit all his knives so the person that makes your night makes the sheath that goes with it can't ask for better than that it's a Dying Breed that people are making stuff by hand anymore Christmas time is coming and if your loved one or just a friend of yours is into handmade Cutlery work then you can't go wrong with a Kodiak knife
I recently read how Case neither made nor named the first Sodbuster. It was actually Carl Schlieper - German Eye. I knew nothing whatsoever about Shlieper knives until I recently picked up a fixed blade reminiscent of a Puma, so I did some reading about the marque.
Was he German?
@@Kodiak_Edge yes sir, Solingen's finest.
Wow thanks for sharing I want one
That is very cool indeed. The platform thinks this video may be inappropriate for some viewers. Not me! Anyway I'm sure that's a badge of honour. They must think you're edgy ;D
lol yah right!
Have you checked out the Harbour Freight Icon flipper knife? Also D2. I think it's an amazing knife, also excellent value.
I will have to thanks!
I’m interested in one of those quick draw leather holsters. How much do they run?
Leather ones are $65.00 and the hybrids are $75.00 thanks!
Really enjoyed your seminar about a few different knives and steel nice learning new stuff all the time can't wait for the other videos thank you brother
Thanks Buddy!!
D2 is a fine steel. Bugouts though are S30V not S35VN. Also this is not a Bugout buster, it will not replace a single Bugout already owned nor will it hurt Benchmade's sales of them. I'd argue the quality control Variations will drive people to buy a better quality knife. Consider this knife like a Gateway Knife. The people that assume this is a Bugout Killer are the same people that complain that no one needs a knife over $20-$30. Eafengrow cost about $27 with D2 and Axis lock on select models. For $17 dollars more they are 500% better quality, fit and finish. I torture tested one of these to failure, vids up on my YT Channel. They hold up alright, but the overall lack of a quality feel and QC issues keeps this knife limited to tossing in a glove box, tackle box, or gardening duty. This fills a niche for people that do no want to beat up an expensive knife and would rather throw a knife in the trash instead of sharpening it. Decent knife also for younger folk that use a knife to clean battery posts.😅
I love my Spidercos but Benchmade is just out there in some of their prices. Dollar for dollar i will take this knife with D2 over the bugout at cost with s30v I have enough paramilitary two's well under $200.00 not over especially when it only costs Benchmade only 27 bucks each per bugout the make lol
@@Kodiak_Edge I hate really disagree here but no way in Oregon with the wages they pay are they getting by at $27. In today's time Spyderco is not even under $200 for a PM2 unless it's LW and then you have the same material as Bugout scales. People are comparing Spyderco prices and forget the two are very much in line. Only Benchmade has a vast amount of designs, Spyderco has a vast amount of steels but hardly create new designs.
@@arkansas_edc When knife manufactures make a knife the costs of materials don't exceed10% of the total costs of each knife made, labor per knife doesn't exceed 40% so 50% is pure profit. So when they buy the steel and other materials for any particular knife they get it in bulk rate. example; one blank of magnacut that will produce 4 blades for 4 knives costs around a $100.00 from Crucible Industries but bought in large bulk like most knife manufactures get it in only costs them $25.00 a blank to make 4 blades, same with all other materials, so 1 knife made with magnacut or even S30v costs them around $6.00 a blade and around that for all other materials so you looking at roughly $25.00 dollars to make one knife at a bulk rate! material and labor 50% and profit is 50%! so if a bugout goes for $170.00 the profit is $85.00 a knife!! not bad when you punch out 1,000 daily in knives!! that is 85K a day they are making and 85K a day for labor for 140 employees at Benchmade that would be $607.00 to have per employee daily!! I know exactly what they make and annually it's around 50 million.
3 of my Paramilitary 2's cost me $170.00 new! I have others over $200.00
@@Kodiak_Edge Even if your math was mathimg right, your leaving out a lot of other costs. In no way do you know what they make or thier costs.
If we talk about D2 I still think ganzo is on top of list. Every test of their D2 hit the 60-61.5hrc and with their prices you can't get anything better in that quality and finish. D2 is great edc steel and if you just keep it clean and don't sharpen it beyond 15* per side you will get great everyday beater that you will not worry if you mess it.
You bet! I have two Ganzo tool company knives in my collection both mustangs.
Hey buddy everything is looking great, sucks about that other video. can't wait to see it all put together, quality work!!
@claudewilliams8000 thanks Buddy 😊
Bummer about the lost footage...hope your new equipment makes things smoother for you...Kudos from me for just taking the patience to record the skills you have to do the work...let alone the added time to edit and post up the videos...what you share is appreciated...looks like the knife is well on it's to bright and shiny new start to its story....Jim
Thanks, Jim. I appreciate your support on this. Yes, I love the new PC tower it's fast! Took one hour only for this one to load!

What a stunner!
Is this one for sale?
No it's the first one bit they will be the same.
Wow! That is a splendid lockback! Cool video too :D
*FAKE*
Lol it's not a fake lol
Deconstructing a knife gives you an appreciation for all the operations that go into creating a pocket knife...and I really am in awe of the hand operations and fit and finish achieved on the vintage knives...thanks for the vid...looking forward to the next one....Jim
Very interesting
