THEREFORE, IF ANYONE IS IN CHRIST, HE IS A NEW CREATION; THE OLD HAS GONE, THE NEW HAS COME! 2 COR 5:17 NIV
So what did I see in the mirror?
A New Creation!
Or
A Performer…
An Old Story…of Performance after performance…
Some of us have come from some sad, sad, stories in life that will at times blind our eyes and hearts from the truth of who we are in Christ today…
At times in life, we get caught up wanting to look like what others expect of us…or to please others with our behavior and character…
Who do you See in the Mirror when you look into it?
a success or a failure…who determines that?
In life we always want to look good for everybody else
As a kid, a youth/adolescent, young person, old person, brother/sister, husband, father, grand parent, employee…
Always endeavoring to look good for somebody else…
Maybe for parents, teachers/coaches, friends, employers, family…now days even doctors…
In life we are characterized by our performance, which others think determines our worth…
We’ve developed a performance oriented life…
WoW!
Are we Performers…?
What is a Performer?
(a person who entertains an audience/a circus performer
God doesn’t call us to be performers…
God doesn’t want us to be performers…
We are a New Creation in Christ Jesus!
Genuine Children of God!
Created in the Image of God!
To do the will of God, plan of God, and work of God!
But not with a performance oriented heart…
He is Real and We must be Real!
Don’t get caught up in the season’s performance like many will do at this time of the year…
Jesus Christ is truly the reason for the season!
Are you going to dress up like Santa Claus?
With gifts that are temporary…
Or
Are you going to put on the Lord Jesus Christ with gifts that are eternal…
Open your heart and let Jesus in…
He can break the chains of doubt
He can break the chains of pain, sorrow, and heartaches…

Rom 13:11 AND DO THIS, UNDERSTANDING THE PRESENT TIME.
THE HOUR HAS COME FOR YOU TO WAKE UP FROM YOUR SLUMBER, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.
12 THE NIGHT IS NEARLY OVER; THE DAY IS ALMOST HERE.
So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy.
14 RATHER, CLOTHE YOURSELVES WITH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature. NIV

The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about on it. NIV
