The thing I really like about EP 2 is when it shows the far away shot of Shadow leaning on the pod with the black arms creature, the whole room goes dark, and Maria disappears like a representation of Shadow’s negative thoughts about himself and then Maria hugging him, he looks right at her and the whole room lights up again almost like every time Shadow looks at her, all of his negative thoughts disappear.

The reason that it looks bad in the trailer (to you) is because that was on the Switch, and the switch’s graphics and other things are low quality because the Switch isn’t made to handle detailed games like Epic Mickey. I have it on the PS5 and they fixed the jump thing and the quality on the PS5 looks like the pictures that were shown in good quality in this video. It was also still in development, but if you still think it looks weird that’s understandable and I respect your opinion! No offense btw, just saying lol

I LOVE HOW ROUGE IS ANIMATED IN THIS EPISODE AND HER VOICE IS PERFECT. This is probably her best design that I’ve seen so far. Peak stuff all around 🔥

It says "present day", but Rouge mentions Sonic's Birthday. So is it 2011 or 2024? Or Sonic Generations can be when ever since Lost World and beyond never really explained how Eggman escaped White Space.

I actually like infinite yea his backstory is kinda weird, but he has cool design voice powers and in my opinion a decent personality more better than the deadly six or the ezagor from secret rings and I hope this jackal could have second chance to try to shine again

Complaining about the early access is kinda weird. I agree with most everything else especially the denuvo part but this has been something common for a long time that I have seen very few people take issue with. If someone wants the option to pay ten more dollars and get it a few days early with some extra stuff then let them. Especially in a time where games are getting few benefits to preordering and trusting a games quality ahead of time.

Here is the logic. All bosses in Shadow Generations are Shadow's enemies. Infinite was Sonic's enemy, so he won't be in that game.

Ok I 100% acree with that take. I found it so strange that Infinite didn't seem that interested by getting his get back from Shadow and focused only on Sonic.

He's gotta return as a rival fight in this game. If he doesn't, it's a wasted opportunity. Also on a random note Time Eater seems to be acting different. He seems a lot more sentient rather than being a time eating mindless monster.

What if shadow generations does like sonic generations and has rival fights and boss fights? If that’s the case, then bio lizard, metal overlord, and some other big boss could be the boss fights; and mephiles, infinite, and some other person could be the rival fights.

Yes, we honestly just need a better backstory for him and the rest will fall into place. I picture his whole thing being him having to of been working hard to get where he was before he met Eggman, him and his squad struggling for some time at first but gotten strong, fearsome and did it all themselves. Then they were confident enough to raid Eggman's base in hopes to either gain more of a reputation or at least steal stuff so they can improve and become stronger. With Eggman's help the after recruiting them Episode Shadow takes place where Infinite's squad gets taken down easily *and we actually see it/play as Shadow doing it* with Infinite confronting him. After being clapped by Shadow so easily Shadows words "pathetic, while you are commendable for your bravery you are out of your league" stick with Infinite and he breaks down as all the work he has done to get where he is wasn't enough and after seeing his squad in such a bad state he craves more power. His squad soon leaves him after he is loosing himself, pushing them away and losing their faith in him. Then after becoming desperate to show them they are wrong to leave him he asks Eggman for help and fortunately for him he came at the perfect time as Eggman has the been dieing to use the Phantom Ruby for his plans of world conquest.

@TVGN2000 While i am excited to see another interaction between shadow and infinite 1. Shadow needs to own up to the fact that he killed a squad of people that were helpless against him. Very out of character. And 2 this is shadow from generations, so he wouldn't even know who infinite is or how he traumatized him.

Personally, I want Infinite to return as a proper main villain for a future Sonic game. Not a glorified henchman for Eggman, and not a guinea pig for the Phantom Ruby. I want him as the ultimate powerhouse that has mastered the true potential of the Phantom Ruby. What he _should_ have been in Forces: The main villain. With that said, there’s no denying that Infinite is more of a villain for Shadow as opposed to Sonic. It would be a shame to see him return only for a small boss battle in Shadow Generations, but at the same time, I would still be happy to see him in something again. This might be his only chance to return at all, so it’ll be cool either way. Anything to redeem the wasted potential of this character. ^^

Just retcon Episode Shadow as being a skewed interpretation of what really happened between Shadow and Infinite caused by the Phantom Ruby. That DLC sandbagged the character so badly and the only way to get around it is basically pull a Dallas in saying that we saw isn’t how it actually happened. Perhaps imply that Mephiles through the Phantom Ruby is twisting both Shadow and Infinite’s memory of their showdown.

They could add Infinite as DLC in the future too.

I hope he comes back. They made Mephiles come back, who was from an even worse Sonic game. Infinite is a key enemy for Shadow, too. If Shadow didn’t beat him up, the war would have never started.

If Ian Flynn writes him, Infinite could be a good villain. he made ZAVOK a good villain.

they were insiders saying that the story of the original sonic generations would be rewritten if that comes out and its real some years down the line we could get a forces remaster that would rewrite the story and the game to be the best it can be

If Infinite returns to Sonic x Shadow Generations, please make it look like Shadow and Mephiles’ first meeting (story-wise, not chronologically because it would be 10 years prior to the events of Sonic 06) in which Infinite would be all “you may not have remembered me, but I remember you so, so well”, given that, assuming this was during the Generations period, Shadow has not even met him

The story takes place at the same time as generations, so with forces being in the game, time travel into the future is involved. Infinite could be involved, but it won't be a re-encounter, it will be a foreSHADOWing. I'm not sure how they'll be able to redeem Infinite's story in Forces through this game, but Ian Flynn could give him better writing! Infinite is my favourite Sonic villain and I hope he can make an appearance in Shadow Generations!

I think Infinite should have blackmailed/manipulated shadow to join him in forces by showing him a fake maria. Infinite should do something similar here by manipulating his memories of her.

I doubt they’ll bring Infinite back. There’s only so many miracles we’re allowed to have and I think we burned our luck for the next decade with Mephiles.

I keep seeing people ask for Infinite, but I've never seen them explain how Shadow can meet him around the time of Generations, and then have completely forgotten about him by the time Forces actually happens. Don’t you think he'd recognise him, or at least mention that he once fought him in the past?

Maybe, but. He should still be a pathetic looser. A relatable one, but still a looser. Being "weak" was so memed, that it's pretty much a part of his character, especially from Shadow's point of view. Might as well make him a Speed-o'-Sound Sonic type character.
