Getzen Eterna Piccolo Trumpet - Blackburn P1 A pipe - Schilke 14B MP

#getzen #trumpet #sirdaniel1975 This piccolo trumpet is from the early eighties and near mint shape. Owned for about 1 1/2 years. This is a short model with a small bore. I find the short models to be easier to play for me. I'm terrible on a Schilke, LOL.

GETZEN ETERNA Flugelhorn w/Dennis Wick 2FL Mouthpiece
Переглядів 6364 місяці тому
#sirdaniel1975 #flugelhorn #Jazz In the room, there was a lot natural reverb, but it sounds dry on the recording. Using a Zoom Q2n for the video and audio. I've had this flugelhorn since the mid 1990s. The Dennis Wick 2FL is a very big and deep funnel mouthpiece, which, high notes can be played with it.

This an intermediate trumpet that has a professional sound in my opinion. It is made in Japan and is a very well constructed horn. The Gold brass bell really does give it a nice warm sound,...

Repainting Rubies Halloween Mandalorian Blaster Pistol
Hi Sir Daniel! AI music is fine for certain needs. But it will be a sad day when it replaces live music performed by human souls. Computers can do a lot, but they cannot generate the raw emotion and passion that dedicated musicians put into their craft. That's a big part of the enjoyment I get out of live music, or music that is not digital or AI generated. If that element is taken away, the music scene, whatever the genre, will be severely lacking!
It would be unfortunate. I don't know what will happen, but, it may go away for a bit. Then people would miss it and bring it back. Sometimes, things need to get bad to get better. Hopefully, I'm way off.
🤩
Any idea what threading is used on the valves?
No idea. I just know that is one of the standard Chinese valve blocks. I've actually got another C trumpet that I'm using now. A Brasspire Unicorn, which plays a lot better. I also updated the springs in the valves to bach springs and the valves work better in the Stagg than the stock springs.
Ooo, that was excellent, sir!
Thank you!
Why am I not surprised you prefer something named Vulcan?
How about a smaller diameter like other guys use? Ferguson, Chase, Nicholson,Trigg, Ingram, Faddis and Cat Anderson etc. jw
I used to play on mouthpieces like that. 99% of the playing I have to do is legit and I can't play well on mouthpieces with a smaller diameter anymore.
@@sirdaniel1975 thanks for getting back to me. I just had to know. jw
Jo-Ral, 100%!
sounds great!!
Thank you!
The mellowness of the indigo plunger tone was more noticeable during the longer passages. Short bursts, to my untrained ear, sounded different, but not unacceptable. Thanks for posting!
Yes. There is more volume on the inside of the indigo mute. Additionally, the indigo mute is made of silicon and not your standard plunger rubber. The rubber might be absorbing extra amounts of the sound.
That's really impressive man
Thanks!
Ur cracked bro
Thanks!
That's some eeeeasy listening; excellent. 👍👍
Glad you like it.
That was fantastic, sir. It sounds like the old chops are... really tuned back up. 8-o 👍👍
Just about there. Thanks!
That was wonderful. Love your sound... the FL is amazing. 👏👏👏👏
Thank you!
I also forgot to mention that I have Curry Magnum caps on the bottom of the valves.
Banging tunes my guy
Thanks for watching
Yeah, this is a trumpet Star Wars' main instrument is the trombone
Suena bien, buen trabajo
Gracias!
sounds amazing! how long have you been playing for?
Since 1987. I have been working on altering my sound over the last couple of years. I used to have a clone sound of Maynard.
You sounds smooth as heck, sir.
Thanks
this was very groovy, hell yeah
Thanks
KGU price $19.99 and Amazon is $20.00 for this item at this time.
Currently $17.98 on Amazon and $19.98 at KGU Music.
I actually fixed the gap problem in the wings with styrene shims and putty application. When I did it the gap at the top completely disappeared and I sanded it smooth so you can't even see the seam at all.
I've posted more links in the description to aid in the ease of finding what you may need.
@11:18 🥁😂 don't sweat it every single brass band in existence has this gal in it.
LOL
Thank you for recording this, Dan!
You're welcome!
Love the tuba! You all sound fantastic!
Thanks
Merry Christmas Everyone!!
Awesome!
What a fantastic addition to Winter Wonderland! You gave the crowds something really special to listen to.
Thank you Heidi!
What no Star Wars???? No Sir Darth Vader epic battle?....LOL!! Thanks for sharing such a great event!!!
I know. I was Han Solo in the parade last year. Then, someone I kinda know dressed as Luke this year, LOL! I decided to video it this year instead. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Nice job, sir!
Thanks very much
This is so much fun and for a great cause- Flashback Weekend in Franklin NC!!
Thank you for posting this Sir Daniel! I never saw the first few floats. Loved Ray Stevens' "Shriners Convention!" That was cool!
Glad you can watch the rest of the parade now.
Feel free to ask any questions. I purchased this because I need a space saver turntable. If anyone is looking for something with better quality, I suggest going for something designed for high end audio work. I may show this off in a future video hooked up to my computer speakers, which combined are over 100watts.
Great scratch built spaceship 🤘 you've a new subscriber
Thanks so much!
Cool! Good voice over, Dan.
Thanks
i have a stagg trumpet that a friend gave to me,because he didnt want it anymore as he upgraded,it plays fine,i even used it on a few gigs no problem. Its a well made trumpet, stagg doesnt seem to advertise at all and very few people know this brand.I didnt know it.Other entry level brands get a ton of publicity .they are not any better than stagg. In fact i know a particular brand of entry level instruments very popular in the US that i played and was worse than stagg. So you seem to be happy with the trumpet dont feel guilty because noone knows this brand.
I think this has been compared to a wrong sword and reference. Deepeeka's model is quite good and is based on the Halfland sword
Oh, I do like it.
believe it or not, 3.5 pounds that is well balanced can get some work done! There were plenty of historical finds, including swords from the famed river barrel swords that were above 3.2 pounds. Only virgins on youtube think all swords have to be super light lol! You can't swing a little sissy blade in combat and expect it to hold up! Think about it- any tool you have ever used that's worth its weight had some heft to it. Use a light hammer, can barely do much- use a 2 pound hammer? suddenly you can get some work done. Thats how i feel about swords. Should be heavy enough to be durable, without having a poor balance.
Yep, totally agree.
This was cool to see! I missed the one here. They had the parade last Saturday instead of yesterday and I didn't know it. I guess traffic volume has become too great to have it on a weekday. Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure to share this.
Looked like a fun time! I hope a lot was raised for the shriner's hospital. Cool outtro!
They did raise a lot of money. There was a Madonna impersonator that performed the night before. She was very good, a Vegas act. There was also a Beauty Pageant the Saturday before that too. I filmed most of those. Lots of video on the way for them.
@@sirdaniel1975 Great to hear! I remember Retro posting a pic of the Madonna impersonator. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your videos!
So fun to take part in our first parade with my parents. God bless America 🇺🇸 And Happy Independence Day to all
It's always nice to see people having a good time and celebrating America while doing so.
This came up in recommended! I have no idea why! 😂
LLLLLLLOOOOOOOLLLLLLL!
You had a great vantage point! I really like the small town celebrations. They have more of a community feeling even to visitors than those in the larger towns. Thanks for sharing!
Yes, this town is very friendly with visitors. We have several things like this throughout the year.
Do NOT mess with he who dons the Batman Utility Belt...lest you meet CERTAIN DEATH. 💀🦇
LOL.
I'm looking for a training sword for drilling and hitting a pell, and I've been eyeing this one. Deepeeka gets a lot of bad rep, but this one looks decent enough. The true question is whether it could survive some abuse or not.
I have no idea honestly. I didn't order it edged. My use will be for historical presentations and a knighting ceremony.
Check it's stats on Kult of Athena. The reason Deepeeka gets bad reviews, as far as I'm aware because 1) the steel in most of their blades (1045) is kinda on the low end of carbon content for swords 2) many of their swords have points of balance far out on the blades. They look ok, have decent scabbards, but feel like crowbars. I own 2 & they both are way too hefty feeling to be practical. In the Deepeeka price range & for pell use I'd recomend other brands; Ronin Karma's European line, Balaur Arms, the Battlecry line by Windlass Steelcafts or Hanwei European swords.
@@asa-punkatsouthvinland7145 I have a Hanwei Practical stage backsword, which I do like. I have looked at the Ronin line of weapons too. Balaur arms is a name I don't recall. I'll look into them.
Nnn
first you should track the motion of the video
This is an oldie for me and I plain and simple stunk back then. It is really bad chroma key job. Yes I know. Thanks for the pointer.
