Retroactive Inhibition
Retroactive Inhibition refers to the difference in the degree of forgetting resulting from the interpolation of a formal learning task, as compared with an equivalent period free from learning activity. Retroactive Inhibition is a case of negative transfer of training, as the learning of one task interferes with the retention of another. Experiments have shown Retroactive Inhibition to be a highly reliable and predictable phenomenon. At the same time it is true that the degree of Retroactive Inhibition varies with a wide range of experimental variables like different conditions of interpolation, the extent of similarity between the old and the new materials, the degree of meaning and logical relationship, length of material, strength of learning the original material and the interpolated activity.

Meaning on Retention
Переглядів 1,5 тис.2 роки тому
The process by which information and material are encoded, stored, and retrieved is called human memory. It's important to remember that any information that you keep is stored in your memory, so without memory processes, you wouldn't be able to remember anything. Memory and learning are also very close to each other. Memory is a place where information is kept and can be found and encoded, whi...
Muller Lyer Illusion Experiment
Переглядів 29 тис.2 роки тому
Geometrical llusions, of which Muller-Lyer is an illustration, is an example of how our discriminal processes do not faithfully represent the objective world. We do not always see things as they exist in physically measured reality. In the Muller-Lyer illusion, we tend to underestimate the length of the arrowhead line. The constant error gives the quantitative measure of the extent of illusion....

Directed Observation

Observation is an act which helps us to have knowledge of the environment. Suggestion is one of the most important basic concepts in the field of social relations. "Suggestibility" is the readiness with which an individual accepts an idea.
