Awesome Mk1 Capri- very well driven, great car control going on here!
*** PORN! ***
Well that looked like fun.
Such an awesome video, wonderful driving. Thank you for sharing the pleasures.
Wheel spinning and drifting are all time losers. Great skill though.
Shotgun!
Wow, enjoyed that👍
How am i going to sleep tonight after seeing this!
Just because it has a 302 V8 does not make it a PER4NA😕
Love to see the exterior footage.
Very twitchy and on the limit of being almost uncontrollable, it’d frighten the life out of me.
Wow , thats amazing
best amusement ride ever
HOLY shit take that tuner geeks
Always brings back very happy memories of Mark's epic drifting in this car, long before drifting was a thing!

Must have had thoese old rally tyres on the rear again.!!!
Hi Mark, I really enjoy your videos and your amazing, effortless [it looks like it anyway!] driving style. So much so, I have bought a 'doer upper' TR7 V8 from a guy called Craig Roberts, who races one down here in the mighty South. I'm hoping to do a bit of low-level competition and slowly getting the car sorted. Motor has a mild cam and a small four barrel Holley and that's about it. It's now got rego and wof, and I'm going to concentrate on brakes, handling and decent wheels and tyres. Biggest problem is finding wheels to fit the stud pattern. Many thanks for years of entertainment and inspiration. Cheers, Paul Brocker, Kaikoura.
how much horse power ?
About 380 hp from 3990 cc
1uz?
You might know my uncle he raced in targa Tasmania years ago a blue EH
Mark I watched you in targa Tasmania in the 90's bloody hell man you are a off your rocker this would have to be the craziest driving most people have ever seen ,the best V8 music and driving I have ever seen, you might know my uncle Ray Williams who raced in targa as well a blue EH holden in the 1990s love this video can't wait to show my rev head mates love it
yeah.. tell us about that production based ALL conditions race car .. the Gbox etc .. oh and good pedaling too.. Great stuff.. ...3rd tassy targa says Everything ..
Going sideways, are we? I love it! :-)
Clearly driving for max fun rather than min time!
Untidy. Make it more fluid and excerise balance. Make the car dance and avoid playing to the camara!
Haha … I respect your judgement, for, whilst I was having fun, it was exactly as you say … rough driving … in my defence, that was the 1st run driving in that direction on my local circuit that I’ve only ever driven the opposite way … I value smoothness and that was anything but … 🥴
I don't think that car could be driven any more right that than that.
Put those tyres on the barbie before you go out in the next one! :-) Sliding through the "S", omg, strewth!
Never seen a TR7 doing drifting before, fantastic, especially around the S. Tyre smoke choking the co-driver, funny. 5 speed box too! I must find one of these track days this year
That was awesome Mark! Nice to see you haven't lost your magnificent car control from the old Targa Tasmania days - was just watching my old VHS Targa tapes the other day. I still get a great kick from watching your mad sideways style! Keep the videos coming. Kind regards. :) p.s Did you compete at Targa Tasmania in any other years than 96 and 97?
yes he did! 95 with Owen Parkinson in a Torana hatchback!
And I remember seeing the big smoke they made in Longford cause I have 1995 on DVD.
Yeah … ‘95 I shared day for day driving with Owen Parkinson in his SS 5000 Torana … And ‘96 in my same Triumph TR7 V8 …
Some torque there, sounds ace, and a tr7 that handles!off the lock stops ,,awesome
First time I saw this guy was Targa Tasmania 1997, glad to see things ain't changed as far as his driving goes :)
I'm' intrigued by the Perana bit. Is it a genuine Perana from South Africa. Colour is right except for the black stripes which the Perana had as standard and tail lights are wrong as the Perana had the small tail lights. I know this because I owned a Perana for 12 years.
@Ben Dover It is a face lift Mk1, they never had them in South Africa so I doubt that it is a proper Perana.
outstanding
bloody awesome crazy madness, love it i whatched you in targa tasmania 20 years ago when your car was silver my uncle [RAY williams} was racing a blue eh in that rally as well, hes now got a 350 chev in it , his son adam races a torana with a worked 350 chev not sure if you know them,
The v8 sounds like a beast
<stands up and claps that man>
I have 1976 triumph tr7 and boy would I like your setup. I'd make all the neighbors so pissed. I'd drive it just like that on the weekends around the neighborhoods lol
