Arkasia, Yoann - I need you to know that as cliché and over said as this is - your music got me through times in my life I didn’t think I’d get through as a youth. Your heavy, beautiful, overwrought and overwhelming symphonies helped me channel emotions I couldn’t convey and couldn’t bear. Yours always stood out in the peak days of melodic dubstep as not just a creative attempt at being well constructed or ‘sounding good’ like others, yours felt like a human soul blasting out lifetimes of complex emotions beyond words. I liken you to a modern electronic Mozart, to a synthesised Buckethead. You’ve created works that will live with me forever even if I never play them ever again, and I’ve never been able to say that about literally any artist.
