Today was the first time I've come across your channel and after watching this tutorial I can say without a doubt that I haven't seen ANYONE else show the stitches and what they were doing so closely before which is one way that I think your videos are better and then of course you are very detailed in your explanations!!!! David loves what I do, and that makes life better ✨️ I was asked for my crochet scrunchie pattern, so I'll be recording two tutorials for you guys: one small and one large scrunchie ❤️ @joann_stores had so many beautiful colors of the @juicycouture yarn, so I grabbed a few to make more scrunchies for my little sister who wants some 🌸 My mom said that they haven't pulled out any hair and are easy to wear, so yay! I also got some yarn to see if I want to make my dress out of it! I'll show yall soon! I'm excited to use it! And I got a color I needed for an order. I actually had to go back to Joanns because I forgot to get it the first time 😂

My husband is fully involved in my yarn and crochet obsession 😊 he buys yarn (even when I'm not with him) !!! And my husband helps me pick colors for projects, he's really good at it! He says yarn makes me happy and he will do anything to make me happy ❤ Looks like you have a great husband too!

I have for the most part enjoyed this yarn but noticed inconsistency in the different skeins, requiring different tension. Definitely a practice makes perfect project

“Tension Testing Yarn” is genius 😂

It’s a no for me…no time to be testing tension…doing and undoing.😂 And I would prefer to choose my own colors and pattern and yarn. But maybe for someone newer to granny squares, but even then tension would be a pain for a newer crocheter.

I don't have a lot of tapestry needles, but mine are metal so I can easily keep them on a magnet bracelet (it's meant for seamstresses, but works well enough for that). Stitch markers, though? Buy them in bundles, like, at least five 200 packets of these suckers. Also, the hooks... I definitely have more than I need. I have one fancies soft grip set and cheaper plastic grip set that I use interchangeably depending on the mood or which is closer; and I also have a smaller specialty set with 6 hook sizes that was a special edition from my favourite brand of hooks made for amigurimi (they're all aluminium as opposed to steel, like their main line) and they have such adorable print on the grip (though the print might come off with use, so I use them sparingly). Plus I also have a set of 3 knooks, which are a type of crochet hook made for doing knitting stitches that I can also use for Tunisian crochet (which is great cause interchangeable tunisian crochet hooks are EXPENSIVE here and there's no metal ones). I only don't have more hooks cause they're expensive. That also reminds me I need to get more measuring tape. I lost my cute one and I'm almost always loosing the other one.

But how many chains do you start with? No one is including this First Step! .... Say I need 11 stitches in 4 inches , and my beginning chain is too short for 11 stitches.... Shouldn't my beginning chain be at least 4 inches long ??
