This is the first run of my Petter PAZ 1 single cylinder diesel engine. I rescued it from a farm where it had been left for many years. Like a lot of PAZ 1's I think it came out of a concrete mixer and was covered in cement dust. It had no compression so I re-ground the valves and gave it a de-coke and a clean-up. Apart from one brain freeze moment when starting when I forgot to place the fuel ...

Headcannon is this is Willy wonka before the factory
When Gene Wilder got to Heaven, he hooked up with Peter Boyle to reenact this. And God was more than pleased.
This was Genes idea. Mel Brooks wasnt a fan. We were tho!
Took me forever to figure it out (I’m not very tech savvy) but I isolated the monster saying “Gary Cooper” as my text tone. Nothing quite like going to a job interview, or sitting in church and the sound “OOOOOPA DOOOOPA!!!” Piercing the silence
He thinks he's such a smarty-pants, but it never occurred to him to check Brian's dog tag; it has the family's info on it.
mel brooks is a comic genius !!! daring to take bad events in history and turn it into comedy
The heads of cabbage on the ready.
The fact that Gene had to argue with Mel to get this scene in the movie, to the point where him and Peter Boi hadl to do it once in front of him to prove it is the funniest bit ever will never not be great to me.
I always bring at least 1 rotten head of cabbage with me to every musical….. just in case they don’t put on the Ritz
Just the other day was the passing of Teri Garr. RIP, Inga
RIP Teri Garr 1944-2024 age 79
RIP Teri Garr 😢
the monster sounds like he had too many sedagives

"Sed-a-give?!"
The most beautiful comedy ever filmed.
Saw this as a kid in theaters and I hated it; found it boring, unfunny and annoying to be in black and white. However, now as an adult, appreciating Gene Wilder, and knowing it’s a parody of the classic Frankenstein movies of old, I absolutely hate it; finding it boring, unfunny and annoying that it’s still in black and white.
You must be a _RIOT_ at parties.
А Тако лучше всех спустя много лет.
I love this movie ever since 1980 81 our Drama teacher played it for us on our first day of Drama class RIP David Lee
EXCELLENT ❤❤❤❤
i absolutely pissed myself the first time i saw this bit
Why is Gene Wilder's singing just the greatest
This was one of my favorite movies growing up!! This movie was a Block Buster hit in the 1970s ❤
Wowie this is My Grandfather's Brother's song Puttin On The Ritz" Jan Garber was the first one to record "Puttin On The Ritz " He made it a hit reaching #4 on the Billboard charts. Then Little Richard followed his lead.🎶🎻🎵
My favorite part is when frankenstein said putting on the ritz 😄😄😄
😝🎡
When i first watched this as a kid, i thought this was real. Lol

Sounds and runs very nice, looking forward to finishing mine off now, it was once part of a generating set so luckily was a bit cleaner than it sounds like yours was!
I love the idea where The Monster's choreography begins as simple as him only being able to smash his cane on the hround three times when pointed at to slowly becoming more and more intense and impressive to showcase just how much work was put into something like that. Thats such a dope scene. I gotta watch this movie
Mhhhhkbsbskzlnevevxh
It’s a comedy folks!
🕺🏼
I’ve always wondered where people in the audience got full heads of lettuce.
5, 6, 7, 8….
Never noticed the lifts that the monster was wearing...they must be 6 inches!
Putin on the Ritz
I’ve seen this film a billion times but was today years old when I noticed Igor on the piano!!
Capolavoro.......
I wonder how many times they had to shoot this scene because they were laughing so hard at Peter Boyle's improv!
Still better than the original Taco music video
The monster opening his mouth and flexing his tongue to get that first step right 😂 0:03
It is true that Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder argued about this scene and that Mel only did that to see how hard Gene would fight for it. What is left out is that even after that "argument" Mel still wasn't sold on this scene until he saw the reaction from a test audience.
So great that he can't properly enunciate the words but dances perfectly.
The fact that there is a John Fetterman in the world makes this even funnier.
1:48-1:56 🤣🤣🤣
How did they get John Fetterman to play that part?
All jokes aside Gene has a very pleasant singing voice
