First off, thanks for the notice and congratulations on opening up a Patreon, I hope you’ll be able to get as much support as you deserve. Second off, you’ve been really showing off the skillset of game development you’ve been building and creatively exploring, and we are all for it! Your original game already looks stand out in its interesting aspects, from the unique style and design work that contains so much personality, to the intricate attention to detail in structure and level formatting. I’ll have to check it out, and to know that it’s currently still in its development phase shows not just its grand potential, but to the time you’ve dedicated to it all. I’m happy to see your original work alongside what you’ve spotlighted with Sam and Max(amongst other stuff), and I look forward to what you can bring to life with your own creations, take care!

Currently playing the demo for a few hours now, it is really good! With the fact you mentioned that the demo so far is quite flawed and unfinished, i am very excited to see new additions, changes and overall.. err.. overhauls for the game when it finally comes out this year! It's tough for me to find a way to pay youtube channels, im not sure if patreon supports paysafe cards, but if i do find a way to provide my money to you, i would do it in an instant, this game is really good so far and im glad an inspiring creator like you is working on your own unique and very imaginative projects, good job! I love their relationship together. I will say the Partner language is probably the cop terminology....But they are absolutely gay for each other. The things they say to each other constantly gets an eyebrow raise from me like "well, this is the most disturbingly psychotic, yet progressive, relationship i think i've ever seen"

The max we knew throughout all three games is dead. Even though we do get a max back this is a different max that came from a time line where sam had the psychic abilities and became a monster. They are now stuck with memory of having to know their best friend died and from Max's dialogue he was the one that had to kill sam, not a mamtron. Alternate max doesnt even need to ask what happened to our sam's max, just a silent moment is able to get the point across to alternate max that the same thing had to happen to sam. It's a pretty bittersweet ending, sam and max get to be together in the end but they are different to each other. Then then brushing off that moment is probably just then relieved to have their companion back and dont want to think about the implication just happy they get be with one another. I also like to interpret that alternate max is the same max from beyond time and space where we trick alternate sam and max into giving us the recording contract by making them forget why they're here with us, without the contract a new time line is formed. Another thing note when alternate max steps out from the elevator sam runs over and hugs him, max doesnt push sam away or tell him to stop, as we seen max has an aversion to conventional affection or touch in general. In beyond the valley of the dolls when we see the sam clones again, we get a cut scene of sam noting that hes happy to see his clones are diligent with their work despite being brainless, we see a clone pick up a stuff rabbit and hug it, we then cut back to sam and max, max gives a warning to sam, hes be holding him for too long and sam apologizes, he knows max doesnt like hugs, when alternative max doesnt give that same warning, I feel like in that moment alternate max was happy to see sam as well and just let's the hug happen, because he probably thought he'd never get to see sam again too. I find it's a pretty wholesome moment

I definitely shipped these two because of the videos that’s got to do with them.

I just admire what the Sam and Max community is able to achieve. Artworks, Stories, Physical Creations, Videos, and here, an absolutely beautifully interesting concept for a fan game. What you have on display is filled to the brim with potential that just has me hooked to get my hands on it already. The story, visuals, and cutscenes are rich with such fluid and expressive animation you’ve accomplished with both a nostalgic yet unique feeling to it all. The gameplay mixes both the classic point-and-click style of control and puzzles, with amazing innovations such as the Max segments you teased. The writing and dialogue is an absolute hoot and holler, reigning in the essence of the original, sprinkled in by your own creative and clever touches on the lines and characteristics of the duo. Although it may be on hiatus, not only is a great overall portrayal of your hard work, efforts, and dedication to the project you’ve put in for a year, but also showcases your skill in game design and development, in which you are putting to great use in that personal project you mentioned in the description, in which I wish you all the best in your creation process. One last note, I’m glad to come across this video, because I can see you have a great library of videos on Sam and Max that will make for a delightful time, as well as an RPG game concept for the duo! I feel like Max sexual orientation is CHAOS

I enjoy your energy and you gave me a jolly good laugh but I must respectfuly disagree. One key point of a sexual identity is to be, well, sexual. They are male and spend all of their time together, lack any sense of boundaries and thus find themselves in a lot of crypto-gay situations where they're the butt of the joke, but what makes them hilarious is how they scoff at the idea and take offense. I feel the truth is a bit more depressing: these are two socialy malajusted creatures who don't fit in or understand human society but have found each other. Due to that lack of integration in a functionning society of well meaning peers, they found themselves together on the side of the road, forgotten by all and isolated in a way. They've looked at the world and passed through it without really being part of it, watching it and its culture without being acknowledged by it due to how anecdotal they are, and so what they see isn't fully understood, like reflections on the wall. As a result neither of them have fully achieved adulthood and they remain in a state of arrested adolescence, with Sam trying to play the adulting game by mimmicking role models that appear in pop culture to fill that gap and Max having accepted it and finding himself with a twisted form of Peter Pan syndrome. You can see it in how Max is still in that "girls have cooties" state of mind and how Sam has a girlfriend because grown men have one, but never seems to remember her name, mention her or make time for her, so she's more or less an alibi and not an actual relationship, he's got a girlfriend because he's seen that he must have one on Tv. Neither of them seems to understand the concept of their own mortality either... I think their relationship can be summarized as "they started playing cops and robbers in their treehouse and somehow never stopped". They have a non-functionnal office modeled after a tv set but can't use any filling system to use the "prop" file cabinet, and it keeps filling up with toys. they seem to live in it but there are no beds... they probably sleep on each other for heat or on the floor. Sam never removes his suit which is very much an anachronistic costume (It's a 40s style suit if I'm not mistaken, which he could only have seen on TV). It's like they copy the part of adult life that are seen in tv dramas and never managed to figure out what exists past the camera's field of view. All and all, they're still kids on the inside despite their age (all we know is that Sam is old enough to use the word Discotech and Max isn't, so Sam might have been a late 70s child and Max a mid 80s one). Their love in my mind is more brotherly, they are found family. That or I'm overthinking it.

Dude, I'd just love to hear you talk. I started watching you with your Sam and Max content and am still flabberghasted your not more popular dude. Also, im aroace and it is kinda sad that we have to actively search for characters that represent aspec identities- but it does seem like it's slowly getting better.

"But Max, you don't even like girls" is probably the most evidence we have for them being gay and I love the idea that they are gay and they're just so close to each other that they're comfortable being themselves around each other. I ship them so hard.

"The Devil's Playhouse" is kinda horror-y to me- It's kind of a terrifying thought, losing your friend/partner/lover over and over again.

I don't care what type of stuff Sam and Max do I just need a season 4 where they have to face the consequences of timelines

Im excited to see if they adapt sam & max again soon (especially if we get space lagomorph content!) I wont hold my breath since season three's remaster took quite a bit to make, but i hope we get a new game eventually :D

To be honest, I think it's highly unlikely. Cancelled game concepts never get picked up for a real project even after many decades, because it's already something the public and the fandom knows about. I am certain Steve was thinking of a smaller way to make the Plunge Through Space Story, so a new game being the next of what we can see in the series is probably not gonna be happening. A new Cartoon sounds definitely hard to pull off, but it seems more likely despite it's difficulties, especially in this day and age. Plus, the TV show changed the franchise forever with it's writing style that was more beloved by the newer community.

'K... around 6 minutes in, not really interested in going further, so sorry if you touched on this later. But I think the point was more, "Feeling love was crucial to Asriel's identity, LOSING it drove him insane, and getting love back only to lose it again felt exceedingly cruel to someone who was, in essence, a child. Not that it would be less cruel to an adult, but it makes it worse for a kid. Keep in mind, also, (Not to pull a 'card') that I have very close family with what you could call aro- mantic and platonic leanings. I've recently come out as potentially aromantic to my parents (I'm not sure yet). So no hate on the aro- spectrum, just food for thought.

It’s not Flowey’s lessened capacity for love that makes him the “bad guy”, it’s the time travel powers he got, causing him to slowly get bored and grow detached from everyone around him. His soullessness only sped that process up.

1:06 POINTS i drew that! but YESSSS Thomas has always been one of my favs from the game and I've always enjoyed his canon aroace status, even when it was moreso textually implied. While he's currently not even in the game anymore, I also like to think that Redd Heir Wing is also aroace, though *that* is just my headcanon. Cathal feels very ace to me as well... the floor of his room literally has asexual pepsi on it.

It's so cool to have another aspec character. Especially one where it not only is confirmed but they have a story and personality beyond being aspec. Bonus for being confirmed aromatic specifically and not confusing it with just asexual.

Watching your analysis videos renewed my passion for the franchise, and I find I greatly identify with your interpretations and the positive outlook you may have on things (at least when it comes to Sam & Max)!! Your videos are very fun. You're probably my favorite UA-camr, despite the fact your videos may not be high quality like other big UA-camrs, and I have to say, by far, I think the best thing in your content is how you handle the music and ambience. One can just easily get sucked right in the mood you're trying to pass on, and your explanations on their own. The music is so positive and sweet, matching the vibe and everything, and it gets pretty easy to get drawn in the video, even for someone with a short attention span (like me).
