Welcome to DKG Fieldsports UA-cam channel.
We will be taking you along to some of our game shooting days through out the season. Pigeon & Crow shooting videos with hints and tips along the way!
We are by no means a professional UA-cam channel and everything will be done in house to the best of our abilities. On pheasant shoot days we will get what footage we can while still enjoying our day, we don’t have a film crew so all the filming is done by Me (Laura).
So shoot meals may not be filmed as I’d like to enjoy my time on the shoot too.
I’ll do my best to film as much of Deans shooting as I can and snippets throughout the day to make it as viewer friendly as I can.
So be sure to subscribe and follow our journey as we learn the ropes of UA-cam filming.

And possibly some Deer Stalking, Lamping for Foxes, Working our Gundogs and more.

A fabulous day pheasant shooting at Brimpsfield Park Estate in the Cotswolds, a beautiful traditional estate run by Ben Hughes of Bruern Game Supplies. A day here next season would be highly recommended 👍🏻 Dean is shooting the ELEY Zenith 36g 3 with the new Pro Eco wads. The first and third drive Dean is shooting some good pheasants, but the best of his shooting can be seen on drive 2,4 & 5! De...

Did you find you needed more lead or less with the steel
Roy is a top guy
He's trying to say, "Okay,... now you get it and I'll chase YOU!".
😮😮
Amazing shot ❤
Well done 👏
Hi, What’s your normal go to cartridge and out of the B&P and the Zeniths which did you prefer? Thanks
I keep replying and they don’t show up for some reason. I regularly use bigger cartridges like 36g 4’s. But it was my one of the first times I had used Eley cartridges. The Zenith with the copper coated shot and the new Pro Eco wads were incredible. If you watch the video from Brimpsfield Park I did, you can see just how good they are. I can’t compare them to the B&P really, because I got on so well with the Zeniths that I just stuck with them for the rest of the season!
Made a comment last night saying how much i liked video and its dissappeared.
Didn’t see that? I didn’t remove it. But thank you 👍🏻
@@DKG.Fieldsports keep up the good work, really enjoy it.
Enjoyed that very much. Nothing easy about those pigeons, well up there in the sky. Nice to see a bit of dog work too. Thanks for posting 🐾🐾
Thank you for the kind words, we do appreciate it 👍🏻
Enjoyed the video but 36gm 4's.are you mad?😮

Love seeing the 3 different views, is Laura filming with an IPhone? When my son films me on a phone, it makes everything look so close! The GoPro’s seem to give a better representation of distance, but can be hard to see long pigeons on them.
Yes, Laura had the IPhone We had two GoPros out and the ShotKam Gen 4. The previous videos people wanted to see the ShotKam footage and different angles, so I put them all in.
Enjoyed the video keep doing it 👍
Thank you.. We will try our best.
❤❤❤❤
enjoying your channel mate, keep going!
Thanks, will do our best! I do get really busy with work in the summer and tend to stop game shooting in competition season. But next game season we’ll video loads of our shoots 👍🏻
TIME. TO. PLAY. BALL, O.K.😊
That's cute ❤❤
Thank you 🙏🏻
That was some partridge 😂
Vaya máquina
These cameras give a great perspective of the shots.
Nice long crossers shot Dean, definitely for the higher birds shoots around the country. 😊
Thank you 🙏🏻
I really enjoyed this video and I'm in awe of your shooting skill. Congratulations on great content and adding one more subscriber
Thank you, that is very kind and much appreciated! I will do my best to do as many videos as I can throughout the game season next year, and do my best to post a few videos throughout this summer. We didn’t actually plan on the channel doing as well as it has! We were only using UA-cam as a place to store video clips of our days out, to save space on our laptop etc But as people have enjoyed them, we will make more of an effort next game season.
Looks like you got on well with those cartridges, interesting to know what choke you used 😊, got to the end of video, question answered 😂😂, good shooting, looked like a cracking day.
Are you shooting a new mk38 trap or sporting , what grade and have you had any issues with stock cracking
My MK38’s are all 32” Sporters in Grade 1. I have 3, two completely standard and my competition gun which has a custom stock on it. But I find that stock too big and bulky for game shooting with thicker clothing on. All I’ve had an issue with is one of my ejectors cracked when I was out fox shooting with 50g cartridges and I lost the top of the injector. But it was all sorted under warranty. I’d really like one of the new MK11’s 👌🏻

Wow some serious shooting there man! You really do know where to aim. One day i will be able to hit them like you🤣, did you get all of them on shotkam?
Thank you, I haven’t checked the ShotKam properly yet. Laura edited the video and just put one in from the long crosser. I will put anything we do have from the ShotKam in a separate video for anyone who’d like to see it.
@@DKG.Fieldsports yes please that would be appreciated thank you
Some outrageous shots there! Aspire to be that consistent one day 👍🏻
Thank you, very kind!
It would have been interesting to see the Shotkam footage.
I will go through all the footage from that and post a separate video of the ShotKam footage. A lot of people don’t seem to like me adding it into the videos. I’ll try get it sorted sometime this week.
What's that small bloke doing next to you 🤔looks like his always in your way......
He loading, he isn’t actually is the way. He’s always close enough to be ready to load the gun but just far enough away so he’s not in my way. He’s loaded for me for years and he’s very good at it.
I no that lol, only jokeing, good day that....
Sorry… some of the daft comments we get on this thing… you’re never sure anymore 😂
You like to shoot your neighbours birds 🤦♂️
It was a clear up day, the keeper wanted them shot. All the birds coming towards me were also being shot at by everyone else. It was stated in the shoot talk, etiquette is out the window. And even then, I still waited for them to be shot at before I shot at them! Unlike the guys next to me with birds coming towards me. In a normal shoot day, I’m one of the most respectful shots going. And yes, you are right under normal circumstances this wouldn’t be the “done thing”. This was a day after the beaters day and the final day of the season with 16 guns standing and two keepers stood behind them. Far from a “normal” game day.
Another 🔔 end has joined the party! What is it with these people! Watch the whole video! He explains in the intro that it’s a clear up day standing lots of guns close together and that etiquette is out the window! Wind your neck in man
Watch the intro with your ears open! He explains that it’s not a normal shoot day and that etiquette is out the window. So many jealous people! 😮
Thank you.. but Martin has raised a very good point which I want to leave for people to see. As if this was a normal day, people shouldn’t shoot how we were in this day. So it does highlight a very good point, and yes I had tried to make this clear in the intro but maybe next time I need to make it a bit clearer. We are still new making UA-cam videos, so just assumed people would understand how the day would go being a “clear up day”.
What a useless comment! He has explained it’s a clear up day and he’s being respectful enough to let the other guns shoot first! Unlike the other guns when a bird was heading for Dean.
Well shot ,some amazing birds there ,quality shoot ,,,,,
The shoot is stunning! Ben and his team went above and beyond to make sure we had a good day. And the conditions were ideal, so the birds flew really well.
👌looks amazing mate well done
Thank you 👌🏻
Great shooting Dean, top quality video 👏🏻. Glad you got on with the Eley Zenith Pro eco, no better cartridge at range.
They were very impressive I have to say!
Awesome
Thanks Arran
Wow! This shoot looks amazing, the birds look like you’re in north wales on some drives! Awesome shooting again Dean, not many people hit them as consistently as you do!
If Ben has any spare pegs next year I’ll definitely go back. So I’ll give you a bell if anything comes up.
You can really shoot wow
Thank you 🙏🏻 Our next video out on Sunday will be worth a watch! There’s some cracking shots on that 👌🏻
😮
That’s some serious shooting sir 😮
Thank you!
How much lead was you giving them pheasants on the first drive when you was back gun?
Most of them 4-6ft
@@DKG.Fieldsports i sometimes struggle with pheasants because they’re top of trees im only giving them a little lead but i think they need some more lead
@@cameronhesling6189the lead really varies from drive to drive. Some birds with their wings set and gliding can be deceiving sometimes. The ones crossing on this drive were a little over the trees so maybe 35-40 yards but they were fast. Needed a bit more than you’d first expect! Our next video out early next week has some monster shots! And a bit of ShotKam footage that you might find interesting.
@@DKG.Fieldsports you are some shot i must say! When shooting do you ever try guess the lead or do you just go with how fast you have to swing from behind the bird to get in front then give it some more? Some people i ask say 5ft some say you can’t give the measurement for lead you just swing through such a hard one to grasp. Looking forward to that video
@@cameronhesling6189 I shoot “pull away” technique with quite a slow gun speed. This then requires a bit more perceived lead, however for me I like to be able to measure a gap and change if im not hitting them. Swing through with a fast gun doesn’t work for me and I find it difficult to change lead accurately, if I’m not hitting them.
WHAT CHOKES were you using please? thanks
Two half chokes through 32” MK38. Express recommendations were to use 1/4, but half was the most open I had, however they patterned fine through them.
yes. i put 1's , steel through my 3/8 set of chokes. but yes, 1/4s are the rcommended for HP steel apparently her in UK, tho gamebore website says 1/2. so that s why I though 3/8 would be OK. Im only a novice shot, but have got a few ducks with that set up. thanks@@DKG.Fieldsports
@grahamshepherd4847 Fabarm actually say you can use hp steel through full choke! I think for most normal 30-50 yard ducks, 1/4 is fine.. I will, when I get chance pattern test these through cyl, 1/4 & 1/2 at 30 & 60 yards. Will be interesting to see what chokes actually produce the best pattern.
That is so freaking cute❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Aww thank you
So cuteee 😍❤😍😍❤😍❤😍😍❤😍❤

Well done Laura 😊
