uwc adriatic pack with me!

i can't believe that our first year at uwcad is already over... i edited this video in dubai airport during my layover absolutely in tears. i love this place and its people so so much, and even though i'm super excited to be home and see everybody here, i can't wait to come back and make more memories as a seconda! xx

since uwcad is an open campus, we're allowed to go to the closest city, trieste, whenever we want! here is what that normally looks like ft. @allyn127 irene (my two crackheads). this video was really delayed in posting, sorry, working on a longer form reflections video about the first term so look forward to that for some actual uwc advice and experiences! love you x

Any way you could explain stages 2 and 3 in the application process? I’d love to know what to expect (if you want to and remember of course)
in australia we have a written application, followed by an interview, and then a financial review :) it's much simpler than other national committees!

Do I need to obtain full or almost perfect grades for admission?
not necessarily! it depends on your national committee/mode of entry, but it is definitely an aspect of the application. grades are important, but uwc is also looking for well-rounded students, so if you have slightly lower grades (mostly B's, some A's) but do things outside of school like volunteering or music or sport, you'll probably have a better chance than another applicant with perfect grades who only does school. good grades are a factor, but not the most important thing :)

Helllooo❤ First of all, great video, really helped with what to expect as im going to be a first year this august. Second, can you tell me aboıt how thick clothes I should bring? I live in a very warm climate (its like 40° daily in summer) so im not used to the cold, but im scared I will get too thick clothes and melt😂 What do you think?
during the winter i think the highest temperatures are from 8-12 degrees celsius, so definitely some warm clothes! i survived in a thermal, hoodie and puffer jacket (but i come from a pretty cool climate, around 14 degrees celsius average during winter). definitely grab some thermals and maybe a warm coat/puffer jacket!
august 31 is the first exame to uwc 2025 in Argentina, i'm very exited

do you travel in UWC? like do UWC take you to different countries? or whatsoever travel?
not sure about other uwcs, but at adriatic we travel a bit around italy (e.g. venice, padova, bologna) for cultural trips, and also to other close-by countries like Slovenia and Croatia. for project week you have the opportunity to go to other countries as well but that's up to us to organise! :)
