Yes, Elizabeth & Nathan's "friendship" was deeper & more meaningful than when Elizabeth was in a relationship with Lucas. Books & lustful kisses for Lucas & Elizabeth. How bland & boring! 😴 So, thankful the co-creators let JT go & got LS to break up E&L. Then get Elizabeth in a romantic relationship with Nathan. Her future hubby hopefully! I want to see their hopefully short courtship, a long lasting forever marriage, & the blended family with Allie & Jack Jr.

They are definitely not a dull couple. Elizabeth deserves the best man on the show and that is definitely Nathan.

So. They maybe got rid of the dogs because she was allergic and her sister tricked her knowing she will wish for a puppy. Lindsey Sturman brought back Alfonso Moreno as a consultant for both seasons to carry out his vision, because he created both characters. I don’t think the writers are trying to cancel anything. But it seems that Tinker strayed too far from storylines and their hands were tied. Now many of the writers are talking about how much Lindsey is giving creative freedom. I don’t get why there is so much hate of the Nathan character. Like it’s became a cult. Even during season 9 the comment section was full of awful comments and that was the season that you got your couple and many disappointed fans moved on.

The character Nathan is great! Nathan is a wonderful man! If you should be mad at anyone it should be Elizabeth because she let fear get in the way. She should have chosen Nathan, but denied her being in love with him because of fear to protect herself. Elizabeth was reliving the trauma of losing Jack she didn't want to lose Nathan the same way. When she thought about being with Nathan all she could think is it would hurt to much to lose Nathan like she lost Jack. That's why she told Nathan, "I can't." in S8. Lindsay Sturman did a wonderful job watching S1-S9 and continuing Elizabeth's story to Elizabeth overcoming fear and having a new great love with Nathan! Jack was Elizabeth's first great love. Nathan is Elizabeth's new great love hopefully her lifetime love! That hopefully both Elizabeth and Nathan have a long loving life together as a couple! ❤😊 I did feel bad for Lucas, but you should never settle for a safe comfortable love. As Erin said in an interview Elizabeth's relationship with Lucas was less complicated. She chose Lucas because it was safe & comfortable. However, Elizabeth was in love with Nathan. Example Elizabeth was engaged to Lucas, but would go hug Nathan all the time. It was getting harder for Elizabeth to deny her feelings. Nathan was respectful of Elizabeth's choice to be with Lucas. It was always Elizabeth hugging Nathan. He was not trying to be physical with Elizabeth. The hugs that was all Elizabeth! So, Elizabeth shouldn't have been physical with Nathan while engaged to Lucas. So, TL should not be mad at Nathan he didn't do anything wrong. In fact Nathan probably had a hard time when Elizabeth hugged him because she was with Lucas and so Nathan couldn't have anything more than friendship with Elizabeth, but it probably left him desiring more.

​@@L18olayes, when I was a kid we had cats. However, my parents discovered my sister was allergic. So they got rid of the cats. They got new homes. If my brother or sister played a game like the character Elizabeth's sister did, then I would ask for a kitten or cat as a young child. Lindsay Sturman and the writers did a wonderful job with S10 & S11. TL don't worry Chris McNally will still be a main character as Lucas too. Lindsay is building a Capital City set. Lucas is going to be a successful governor in S12 that's my prediction. He will also get a new love interest. So you will see romance for Lucas too! He will probably visit HV sometimes and his ex Elizabeth, friends, and the community in HV will meet Lucas' new girlfriend. We will see Nathan and Elizabeth love and romance as a couple. I think we will see them date, marry and become a blended family. We will get more blended family storylines. So the network, Hallmark's theme is "Where Love Happens" So we will get love and romance in dating relationships. Then love and romance in Nathan and Elizabeth's marriage. Than last love in a family between parents and their children in a blended family! ❤😊

@@BeverlyR-dl5ft From the end of S10, we only hear the explanation that Elizabeth wasn't ready, that it was always Nathan and Lucas was only a safe choice.... This is stupid- just look at the interviews after S8 and S9, which all said that Lucas is the real one, the right choice, the love. The explanation for the change in direction of the story is very simple: Lindsay Sturman. She came and changed the story. And now all they can do is explain themselves. They explain in every interview that it was always Nathan, he is the great love and the endgame. And you believe this, because this is what they keep shoving in your face, this is what they want you to believe. But a believable and good story does not need to be explained... What needs to be advertised so much is not a good story. N&E is not a good story.

Rewatch seasons 10 and 11 incessantly and scour the internet all day long for clips like this one. It's the only way we're gonna survive till season 12 begins LOL.
