It's not auto per se. You need to time it just right, by using the charged R2 in a way that "ting/bell" sound happens when the enemy's blow lands. When that happens, two things are done simultaneously - a perfect parry + a very powerful charged R2 release/riposte.

I honestly just banged my head against this boss over an over until I was able to get the parry right. I suggest you do the same lmao. I've not played the game on NG+ tho, so idk if it adds another layer of BS difficulty for this boss. You can ofcourse use a lot of throwables for this fight. I've heard the aegis is good, although I've never tried it. Also there's a perfect parry grindstone, use it if you're unable to parry her lightning strikes at the start of phase 2. Also one thing you can do is to record your attempts and reivew it after you get a solid 7-8 attempts. See when you were able to do parry her correctly, learn her combo pattern etc. In short, the meme advice holds true here as well i.e. git gud. Best of luck!

Thanks man! And yes, killing the 3 minions (and the last 2 almost simultaneously) is the main factor behind acing this fight.
