Finding The Crappie and Catching A Spring PA Musky
A really memorable multi-species spring afternoon where I spent a couple hours looking for some crappie with a new 18 FOOT rod. I had to try it- I’m aware I’m not really using it how it was intended, but just had to see how crazy it felt.
Then in the evening, went after musky using lures I've been making myself.
Baits and rigging from the musky segment can be found at SaddletrampBaitCo.com

Fast Five-Man Lake Erie Walleye Limit Aboard Matt's New Boat “Side Piece”
Переглядів 1612 місяці тому
A fast and chaotic five-man, five rod limit of Lake Erie walleye aboard Matt's new Cherokee “Side Piece” out of his camp in Ashtabula. Filmed only on one head camera this time, unlike the last few videos (sorry!). Matt: walters_nightmare Tom: pennsylvaniamonsters
Catching Stocked Fall PA Brown Trout on Jerkbaits and Crankbaits
Переглядів 190Рік тому
In this video, I fish a PA state park that gets stocked at various points throughout the year with trout. These trout are not native, nor do they usually survive very long for a variety of reasons, but it's fun while I'm able to chase them. It's especially fun to catch them this way and from the boat. pennsylvaniamonsters
Catching a Very Special Deep Creek Lake Pike
Переглядів 637Рік тому
This video is a little different from my previous two. Long story short, and bluntly put, I catch a decent pike, but one that most anglers (including myself) may not otherwise care much about had it not been for the circumstances. This video is the story of why this pike and this lake (that many hardcore fishermen avoid) are so special to me. pennsylvaniamonsters
Casting and Trolling for Summer Pennsylvania Musky
Переглядів 7 тис.3 роки тому
This is my first public video. New to filming and editing, but really enjoying it, and figured I'd share a little bit. In the video, three of us do a little bit of casting and a little bit of trolling for summertime musky in the Keystone State. While I'm more of a caster and relatively green to the trolling side of musky, Donnie and Ryan are able to bring a little bit more trolling experience a...

Hahaha hope all is well man! I still have them- just sorta made the switch this season and been a big fan of the musky sticks especially. The 10'6" really makes a lot of difference if you're comfortable with a rod like that.

What's up dude! I deleted my instagram last year and lost touch with you and remembered you showed me your UA-cam videos. Dude I have been crushing musky bass fishing. Caught a 49.25 last week and all I can think about is musky fishing now. I had some questions about rods since you and I are st.croix guys. I think I lost your number when I got a new phone. My fiance has an instagram still il reach out to you on that

New to the channel. Have you ever fished near Pittsburgh or fished the conemaught river. I recently started fishing the shit River in my area and have been blown away by the quality and amount of fish I been catching. Caught 3 trout over 20 inches since I started fishing it a few months also. We have alot of small dams that eventually spill I to this river. Some of thease dams are stocked with pike and musky. So I'm assuming they live in this river. I don't have any knowledge of what lives in the river. No one fishes it. Anyway I purchased a gaint rod with heavy line to try my luck big predator fishing. Tied on a 7 inch swimbait. A massive fish ended up taking my lure and litterally stripped an entire reel of 20 pound test. I have a video of the fish pulling my drag a few hundred yards up river. I litterally couldn't stop or budge it. The fish looked 5 foot long and crazy fat. It had to me a musky. You can see the fish in the video but it's hard to tell what it was. I never felt power from a fish like that. I would love to mention the river but don't want to ruin the spot. It's a big river too. I feel like i hit the lottery cuz no one else fishes this place. Also caught a 23 inch small mouth last saterday. Extremely fat also. This place is special

Fun watching them chase your bait . You really get them excited. What size baits and reel are you using ?

Thank you! Definitely fun watching it happen and also a good way to work on techniques when it comes to triggering a bite. Baits don't matter too much...any kind of ultralight crank in the 1"-3" range, or even smaller micro cranks like Bitsy Minnows and Snap Beans. Change colors and sizes frequently unless something specific gets hot. Reel here is a President 20 just because I like it as light and snappy as possible for this technique. Pretty slow line pickup on a tiny reel like that but it balances well on the 5' ultralight rod.

Thank you! Guess it’s always a good habit even if it’s a half-y. Haven’t really ever had a pike come in and go around a bunch of times like a musky yet, but I’ve had quite a few that pop up out of nowhere in that first turn.
